When Chris Honey of Madison County, Alabama took a second look at a photo he had taken of his wife, Brigette, he noticed something incredible. Around the time of Thanksgiving in 2012, Brigette was pregnant with twins.

The morning they left for the hospital before Brigette went into labor, Chris took her picture in their living room. As he uploaded the photo to Facebook, he noticed a glowing light around her head like a halo, so he captioned the photo, “My miracle angel!! Look around her head in the pic.

This is the morning we left for the hospital, the man was already with us!!!!”

At the hospital, the couple’s two children, Abby and Austin, were born. However, things took a turn for the worse when Brigette had an amniotic fluid embolism and amniotic fluid entered her bloodstream.

The condition only has a 20 percent survival rate, and as a nurse explained the situation to Chris, his heart dropped. As Brigette had an emergency surgery, Chris and the rest of their family waited.

After the surgery, she was on a ventilator for two days. Fortunately, she successfully recovered and could finally hold her newborn twins.

Before Brigette recovered, her family started the Brigette Honey Prayer Page on Facebook, where they received thousands of well wishes and supportive messages.

After her recovery, Chris said, “This is the best Thanksgiving that I’ve ever had, that my whole family has ever had. It’s a miracle.” God was with Brigette through her surgery and recovery, and thankfully, all five of her children still have her in their lives.
