Elephants are magnificent creatures if humans know how to provide them with the attention and love they require. They may be calm giants as long as humans do not aggravate them or frighten their young. They adore people, therefore many have an especially close relationship with their caregivers.

The legend of the elephant says that if you see one at least once in your life, the animal will remember you for the rest of its days. That is why there are so many reasons to adore them.

Even so, there are people who choose to do the wrong thing and put these endangered animals in danger. Poaching is becoming an enormous problem for several nations. Elephants are hunted illegally and their products are sold on the black market for a large profit. And this is a global problem right now.

One of the victims in this narrative is simply one among numerous elephants. Poachers shot him in the head and the bullet became embedded there. It was just inches from taking his life, but he knew who he could trust.

This truly remarkable scene was documented by Inside Edition and posted on YouTube. It may be seen in the video that the wounded elephant rushed to seek out people who appeared to be doctors, implying that he believed they might assist him with first aid. The animal must have been suffering a lot of agony as a result of this wound.

“Pretty Boy” was the name given to the elephant. Despite the fact that a bullet had entered his head and caused a serious wound, he was able to approach the doctors and exhibit to them what was wrong. The doctors were shocked when they saw the wound, immediately jumping into action in an attempt to save him.

Although the doctors were able to cause paralysis in the dog, it was too big for them to work with. The first step was to put him under sedation with a tiny dart. It isn’t at all unpleasant, and the Pretty Boy would become progressively calm and serene. After that, the specialists were able to get started.

It was obvious that the elephant had been shot in the head, but they needed to know where it was lodged. So they did an X-Ray first before going into surgery.

They discovered that the deformed bullet was revealed on the X-Ray image. But because the bullet was just a few centimeters off from being called a ‘kill shot,’ they realized it was a miraculous incident. If the bullet had gone slightly lower in Pretty Boy’s head, he would have been instantly killed.

The doctors conducted the surgery when the pig was tranquilized. And, thankfully, the bullet was finally removed!

They waited until he woke up after the operation. They needed to ensure that he was completely recovered before releasing him back into the wild. And when Pretty Boy awoke, he was in bad shape, only managing a few paces before falling asleep against a tree trunk again.

He was knocked clean out, but he will be fine.

The doctors who helped Pretty Boy to heal fully were extraordinary.
