The use of surveillance cameras is commonplace in both private and public spaces. These security measures help to ensure that no person, animal, or object is doing anything it shouldn’t be, and that everything is as it should be.
A few months ago, the Amarillo Zoo found an unexpected and spooky-looking creature on their surveillance footage. The City of Amarillo later shared a photo of the sight on Twitter. The post was straightforward, “Do you have any ideas of what this UAO- Unidentified Amarillo Object could be?”
The Amarillo Zoo captured a strange image outside the zoo in the dark and early morning hours of May 21 (around 1:25 a.m.). Is it a person with a strange hat who likes to walk at night? A chupacabra? The Amarillo City Council’s tweet went viral after they posted a photo of what appears to be a creature in the distance. Even though it is hard to see clearly, many people suggest that it looks like a person in a strange hat. However, it is also possible that the figure could be something else entirely.
The post quickly went viral, as many people on Twitter shared their serious and humorous ideas of what this creature might be. One person suggested Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy – and we can certainly see it!

Some other Twitter users said it might be an alien.

While some viewers were content to play the guessing game, others quickly pointed out that they believed the photo was fake.
What do you think the creature caught on surveillance footage really is? Is it a real photo, or was it Photoshopped?
