A young, smoking hot Hooters waitress in an early January TikTok video that has since earned more than eight million views flaunted the hundreds of dollars she made during her shift. When a Savannah, Georgia server appeared “ungrateful” for the little ten-dollar gratuities she received from some of the less well-off customers who dined at the restaurant, people were appalled.

The Hooters waitress is a young woman who identifies as a model on Instagram and performs all of the etiquette tips she was given at various tables in the viral video, which she uploaded to the TikTok social media app.

However, some viewers commented that Ali, the waitress, did not appear to be pleased with the low gratuities. They then turned the tables on the Hooters waitress and labeled her “ungrateful” and selfish.

Nonetheless, the young waitress claims that all gratuities are welcome – even if they are less than she had anticipated.

“YES, we are grateful we also work our [butts] off!!” she said.

The contentious video was accompanied by an on-screen notice that read, “What we make in 4hrs at HOOTIEZZZ.”

Ali describes her first day on the job as a night shift server at a Savannah, Georgia restaurant. He then goes through the pointers he picked up after working one day on the job in Savannah.

“OK guys, we’re doing what we make at Hooters in a day, and we just got our first couple of tables, so we’re gonna show you that now,” she stated.

Ali asked a few of her co-workers to participate in the video in order to provide TikTok users a more realistic picture of life as a Hooters waitress in Georgia. She requested that they discuss any tips they obtained throughout the day while on duty.

“My first table, I got a $50, which was nice. It was a four-top,” Ali told followers. “My second table, I got $11. In my third table, I got $20,” she adds, seemingly much happier about the larger amount, “and then I got $10 from a really old couple. But, whatever.”

Although Ali wasn’t happy with the $10 gratuity, she didn’t reveal what proportion of the bill the elderly pair had left. Perhaps they split a ten-dollar tip with her and gave her twenty percent of the total.

Ali, like every other server in the United States, relies on gratuities to make ends meet. If she didn’t earn any tips from the tables she waited on, her salary for the day would be about $17 because servers are paid a very low minimum wage by federal law.

The Hooters waitress added, “My fifth table, I got a $100 bill from a single guy.”

She remarked, smiling, “My regular just came in, and instead of giving me a tip that I have to declare, he Venmoed me.”

“Alright, y’all, this one made me mad, but it’s whatever. They left me $10, wrote it on the bill, scribbled it out, and wrote five when I walked away,” she added while rolling her eyes. “Why?”

Despite a few minor pointers, Ali received $521 in the short shift.
