Once again, Los Angeles finds itself spiraling into dangerous chaos — not due to natural disaster or unforeseen tragedy, but because leftist agitators, enabled by radical politicians, have turned the city into a powder keg of lawlessness. This time, it’s violent protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — protests that quickly devolved into riots. Shockingly, instead of condemning the violence, one elected official stood on the frontlines and openly encouraged it.
Los Angeles City Council Member Eunisses Hernandez (D), in a fiery speech delivered as rioters clashed with law enforcement, urged the mobs to escalate their tactics against ICE agents, who were attempting to lawfully enforce immigration laws and deport illegal aliens from the city.
Standing before a crowd already whipped into a frenzy, Hernandez praised the protesters for “mobilizing quickly” and claimed that their previous actions had successfully slowed federal agents in their duty.
> “They know how quickly we mobilize, that’s why they’re changing tactics, because community defense works, and our resistance has slowed them down before,” she shouted into the microphone.
But Hernandez didn’t stop there. Rather than call for peace or lawful engagement, she explicitly called for escalation:
“And if they’re escalating their tactics, then so are we. When they show up, we gotta show up even stronger.”
The results were immediate and predictable. Violent mobs clashed with police, vandalized property, set fires, and created scenes eerily reminiscent of the infamous 2020 riots that devastated cities across America. And while officers were risking their safety to restore order, a sitting city council member was effectively inciting further violence from behind a megaphone.
Outraged conservatives across the country quickly condemned Hernandez’s dangerous rhetoric, calling for her arrest and accountability for inciting violence against federal agents.
The popular Libs of TikTok account posted the clip of Hernandez’s remarks with a simple, powerful statement:
“Los Angeles City Council Member Eunisses Hernandez (D) calls to escalate the riots against ICE agents. Arrest her.”
Political commentator Shawn Farash accurately pointed out the blatant hypocrisy, writing:
“Here’s a DEMOCRAT LA City Council Member, Eunisses Hernandez, calling for an escalation of the attacks on ICE. If ‘Peacefully and Patriotically’ was ‘inciting an insurrection’ then what is this?”
Other voices echoed the same concern, noting that inciting violence against federal law enforcement officers isn’t just reckless — it’s a **federal crime**.
“Meet Eunisses Hernandez, she’s an LA city councilwoman who called for the community to mobilize against ICE. Should she be arrested for inciting violence on ICE agents, which is a federal crime?” one X user asked.
Paul Szypula summed up the situation perfectly:
“Los Angeles City Council member said on Friday that anti-ICE activists need to escalate their tactics and ‘show up even stronger.’ Then on Saturday, these activists rioted. Eunisses Hernandez incited violence. She must face legal justice.”
Even President Trump weighed in, blasting the failed leadership of California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who have stood idly by while their city burns:
“Governor Gavin Newscum and ‘Mayor’ Bass should apologize to the people of Los Angeles for the absolutely horrible job that they have done, and this now includes the ongoing L.A. riots. These are not protesters, they are troublemakers and insurrectionists. Remember, NO MASKS!”
At the heart of this chaos is a simple truth: The radical left will stop at nothing to undermine law enforcement and enable open-border lawlessness — even if it means inciting violence against federal officers doing their jobs.
Americans who believe in law, order, and the rule of law should be outraged — and demand that those who incite violence from positions of power are held accountable. Enough is enough.
