In a major win for constitutional order, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 last week that federal district judges can no longer issue sweeping nationwide injunctions—a favorite weapon of left-wing activist judges seeking to block President Trump’s America First agenda. And now, conservatives are calling for consequences—starting with Judge James Boasberg.

Judge Boasberg, a familiar name to anyone who’s watched the D.C. Swamp protect its own, infamously blocked President Trump’s attempt to invoke the Alien Enemies Act to deport violent Venezuelan gang members. That ruling, which many saw as judicial activism at its worst, turned Boasberg into a symbol of unchecked judicial overreach.

Now that the Supreme Court has stripped judges of their power to play legislator and president from the bench, prominent conservatives are demanding accountability. Leading the charge is conservative commentator Nick Soptor, who posted on X (formerly Twitter) on June 26:

“🚨 Now that most nationwide injunctions have effectively been ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL, we need to start IMPEACHING the judges who used them, starting with this clown: Judge Boasberg. He’s been trying to play President for SIX MONTHS now. IMPEACH HIM, @HouseGOP.”

Soptor’s post lit a fire in conservative circles, with supporters flooding the thread demanding action from House Republicans.

One commenter blasted the bloated federal judiciary budget, calling for a full audit:

“Audit @USCourts, the agency that runs the Federal Courts and employs the Federal Judges. It has a \$10 BILLION annual budget. Massive corruption, luxury spending, nepotism—it is the most corrupt agency in U.S. history.”

Others demanded that Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Republican Leader John Thune stop the hand-wringing and start holding rogue judges accountable:

“These liberal activist judges have overstepped their authority. Impeach them! Or better yet, rule every judicial appointment Biden made during his 4 fraudulent years as null and void.”

While some acknowledged the difficulty of securing Senate convictions in this polarized era, they insisted that House Republicans at least bring judges like Boasberg before Congress in public hearings:

“We need the @GOPHouse to bring them in and question them in a televised committee meeting. They need to be accountable to the American people.”

In the midst of the firestorm, conservatives also defended Attorney General Pam Bondi, who has faced unfair criticism from establishment Republicans despite her relentless effort to enforce immigration law and argue key SCOTUS cases.

“For all the ‘Pam Bondi was a mistake’ critics—she’s been preparing and arguing these landmark cases while overseeing thousands of arrests of foreign gang members. She’s a warrior.”

One lengthy comment summed up the broader constitutional issue:

“Nationwide injunctions allowed single judges to hijack national policy—a blatant abuse of power. Congress needs to rein in these black-robed bureaucrats. Reform the judiciary’s scope before the rot spreads further.”

As judicial activism faces a long-overdue reckoning, conservatives are sending a message loud and clear: Judges who think they can overrule the will of the American people will be exposed—and possibly impeached.

The Supreme Court ruling was just the beginning. Accountability is next.
