The Christmas special, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” has been a favorite for many Americans for years; however, it may be cut from television broadcasts this year. Critics of the holiday show claim that it promotes bullying and they want to prevent it from having any influence on young children. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably watched Rudolph more than a dozen times throughout your life with no negative repercussions – yet. The folks who get offended by everything are petitioning to have the show pulled from air this Christmas season.

Although Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a Holiday classic that runs every year around Christmas time, many viewers are bothered by how nearly all of the characters act like bullies toward Rudolph. This might be due to the fact that he is different from them, as he has a red nose.

Rudolph is a young reindeer with an interesting nose; it glows red when he gets excited. His prominence Rudolph meets two other unique characters, Hermey and Yukon Cornelius. while everybody in the North Pole avoids him because of his appendage, Hermey really wants to be a dentist but is forced into toy-making by society’s standards.

Throughout his journey, Rudolph befriends an Abominable snowman and discovers an island of discarded toys. With a kind heart, he decides to bring Christmas joy to the rejected playthings. On December 24th, he ventures back home in hopes of presenting the present-less children with gifts from Santa. However, a spiteful snow queen halts any chance of that by conjuring up a blizzard.

Rudolph’s shiny red nose helps lead Santa’s sleigh through a severe snowstorm, saving Christmas and cementing his status as a hero.

Although the story has a happy ending, not everyone is pleased with all the challenges Rudolph faces along his journey. He’s ridiculed and excluded by the other reindeer because he looks different from them. This holiday special continues to be aired today years after it was first created, but some people want it removed from our festive traditions altogether.

Critics have a negative reaction to Hermey, the film’s main character. The elf is obsessed with teeth and has a sinister nature.

Even Rudolph isn’t immune to criticism. Throughout the film, he has a crush on Clarice, a beautiful reindeer woman. However, the relationship is solely focused on his physical attraction for the opposite sex’s animal. The politically correct authorities wanted that this love story had more substance and was more focused on Clarice’s personality rather than her long eyelashes and floral dresses.

Some people want Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to be canceled, believing that the bad behavior throughout is condoned. However, others argue that this is missing the point – at the end when the characters realize how wrong they have been and apologize to Rudolph and those they rejected unjustly.
