A shocking incident happened at a convent in Michigan that claimed the lives of thirteen sisters. The cause of their death was identified to be the Corona-virus. It was tragic that the virus made its way into the Felician sisters convent and managed to spread among the nuns like wildfire.

This incident has, without a doubt, become the worst pandemic in the history of the modern world. It was a horrific sight when most of the sisters died the same month they were infected. The remaining survivors express their wish for the world to know precisely how the virus is. They also wanted to inform the world of the importance of using masks. A large number of the deceased sisters were between the ages of 69 to 99 years. The news of their death shocked and broke the hearts of the world.

These sisters belonged to the congregation of the sisters of St Felix of Cantalice. This convent is located in the state of Michigan in a place called Livonia. The nuns that died were a big part of the daily workings of the Roman Catholic Convent. It was a significant loss to both the congregation and the convent as a whole. They lost distinctive authors, instinctive teachers, and even the secretary from the Vatican secretariat.

It is now a known fact that the nuns were at high risk because of their age. The nuns showed outstanding acts of bravery and unity. This was demonstrated after the news of their state became national news that the nuns remained bound together in spirit. Their families even confirmed this fact, and they described them to be very close because they prayed together, worked together, and lived together. This tragic incident was recorded as the worst in the women’s religious community since the 1918 influenza crisis.

This is proof it has been a century since a tragedy like this took place. It is also a critical point to note that these nuns don’t easily interact with outsiders because the convents are usually in isolated areas. This raises the question of how the diseases entered the convent grounds. The other issue is why the right measures were not taken because of the nun’s age. They were more susceptible to the virus. It later became public knowledge that the virus had been accidentally brought into the convent by two of the convent’s aides.

Experts later revealed that it was a grave error that their temperature was not checked the moment they entered the church. This was said to be the reason the virus spread abruptly through the convent. It was very horrific to the people who witnessed they said almost everyday the virus claimed the life of one nun until it claimed all thirteen. It managed to infect another eighteen people; however, they survived the ordeal. His fellow sisters found the grieving process to be difficult because of the rules implemented by the government and the risk of infection. This tragedy was addressed by the director of clinical health services Noel Marie Gabriel. He described the emotional impact of the crisis. The tragic incident took place between April 10 and May 10. This was the period when the virus took the lives of 12 sisters. The last nun who died was officially stated to be deceased on June 27.
