While many billionaires in America choose to remain tight-lipped about their wealth, Oprah Winfrey is not one of them. She has access to a lifestyle that most people could never even imagine. However, some people have criticized Oprah for her wealth, including outspoken radio talk show host Howard Stern. During an episode of The Howard Stern Shown on Monday, he claimed that Oprah loves to flaunt her riches and is not at all embarrassed by it.

68-year-old Stern told 70-year-old Robin Quivers, his co-host, in his show, “It’s f***ing mind-blowing when you follow her on Instagram.”

Stern continued, “You gotta be a little self-aware and know that there are people struggling out there… Oprah’s not embarrassed by her wealth at all.”

Stern isn’t a fan of seeing Oprah Winfrey flaunting her wealth on social media. And when she shares photos from her luxurious lifestyle, he feels uncomfortable about it. He said, when you follow Oprah on social media, you “see her estates, her gardens, the people who serve her.”

Robin stated, “Service her? She’s not a car.”

Stern stood by his statement, further saying: “Well, she kind of is. She’s got servants and like people cooking and it’s f****** wild.”

Stern, who is wealthy himself, says that Oprah “knows” how to look as rich as possible and uses social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to show off her wealth with photos and videos to her millions of fans, many of which take pleasure in seeing what the famous billionaire has been up to during her free time.

“Which is something I’m not comfortable with,” he saidd. “I don’t think that people should show off their wealth.”

Robin came to Oprah’s defense, saying:: “Oprah’s just showing you her life. She’s not showing off.”

However, Stern believed that he was right and that Oprah was wrong for showing her fans how wealthy she really was. He claimed that her social media posts lacked self-awareness and offended poor people across America by continuously reminding them of the vast wealth disparity between themselves and rich celebrities like Oprah.

“You got to be a little self-aware and know that there are people struggling out there, Robin. You got to. You got to kind of think about people who don’t have — to eat. You know what I’m saying? I mean, come on. You got to be a little bit aware of this.”

Robin, still defending Oprah, replied, “Well if you don’t show your wealth, are they getting fed?”

Stern was offended by Oprah’s tendency to show off her lavish garden on her Instagram account.

“No, they are not. But I make a good living, and I’m having trouble watching Oprah. I go, wow. Look what’s going on over there? Her estate is unbelievable. When she goes shopping, she goes shopping in her backyard cause everything is growing back there. There’s a farm back there.”

Do you think Oprah is too ostentatious with her wealth?
