Olivia Newton-John, who rose to fame as both a vocalist and film actress, has passed away at age 73.

Olivia husband, John Easterling, confirmed that she died in her Southern California home Monday morning surrounded by family and friends.

Olivia has battled breast cancer for almost 30 years, and the specific cause of death was not revealed, however a source close to Olivia informed everyone that she “lost her battle to metastic breast cancer.”

Olivia became a household name in 1971 with songs like “If Not for You,” and “Let Me Be There.” She followed that up with the massive hit, “Have You Ever Been Mellow?”

Her big break came in 1978, when she played opposite John Travolta in “Grease.” Her part as Sandy was unforgettable, as were several songs from the film, “You’re the One That I Want,” “Summer Nights,” and “Hopelessly Devoted to You.”

Olivia’s film career flourished following “Xanadu,” and she continued to appear in films like “Xanadu.” Her most popular song was “Physical” (1981), which remained at #1 for ten weeks, breaking all records from the ’80s. Throughout her career, Olivia has been a vocal advocate for environmental and animal rights causes. In 1992, she was diagnosed with breast cancer but survived it; however, it recurred in 2013. It came back in 2017 after going into remission the first time.

Synchronized death is the term given to when two or more people die in quick succession. Olivia, a British woman who was born and raised in Australia, married Matt Lattanzi in 1984. They met while filming “Xanadu.” They had a daughter, Chloe Rose, in 1986. In 1995, they divorced. She married John Easterling in 2008. He’s the creator of Amazon Herb Co. Olivia turning 73 years old was the end of her life. RIP

When most people think of the movie Grease, they immediately think of the catchy tunes, the adorable young actors, and the memorable story. But what many people don’t know is that Grease is actually an excellent film when it comes to cinematography and storytelling.

The way that director Randal Kleiser was able to weave together the different storylines and create a cohesive and entertaining film is truly commendable. Not only do we get to follow Danny and Sandy’s epic love story, but we are also treated to hilarious scenes involving the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies. And unlike some other movies that feel like they rely too heavily on music to carry them, Grease has a well-developed plot that keeps us engaged from beginning to end.

Of course, much of the film’s success can be attributed to its cast. John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John have great chemistry on-screen, and their performances are truly believable. The supporting cast is also fantastic, with everyone from Stockard Channing to Jeff Conaway giving excellent performances.

All in all, Grease is a fantastic movie that is sure to entertain audiences of all ages. Its mix of humor, romance, and nostalgia make it one of my personal favorites, and I’m sure that you’ll love it too!
