Jay Leno has been tormented by one setback after another – first, he suffered burns and now it’s broken bones.

Just two months after Leno was hurt in a devastating garage fire, he suffered another injury while riding his motorcycle on January 17th of 2023. Unfortunately, the accident caused him to fracture his kneecap as well as breaking two ribs and an entire collarbone.

Leno divulged the details of the motorcycle crash to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. When inquired about his recovery after the traumatic burn injury, Leno said “It’s so funny you should say that. That was the first accident. OK? Then just last week, I got knocked off my motorcycle. So I’ve got a broken collarbone. I’ve got two broken ribs. I’ve got two cracked kneecaps.”

As Leno revved up his old motorcycle, the smell of gasoline filled the air as he realized it was leaking. He had been restoring this vintage bike and now he needed to do some more repairs before continuing on. Leno said, “So I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it. So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clothesline, me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.” He added, “The bike kept going, and you know how that works out.”

Just recently recovering from extensive burns, Leno was already inundated with media attention and chose to maintain his silence about the motorcycle accident in order to avoid further publicity. With a chuckle, he remarked, “You know, after getting burned up, you get that one for free. After that, you’re Harrison Ford, crashing airplanes. You just want to keep your head down.”

On the 12th of November, 2022 Jay Leno had a life-changing event while tending to his classic cars in Burbank. As he worked away on one of them, an unexpected fire broke out which left a portion of his face scorched! Thankfully Jay quickly got himself to the hospital where he was treated for any burns and damages caused by the blaze.

After a complete recuperation, Leno made his triumphant return to the stage of the Comedy Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California. He displayed no signs of fatigue or strain as he walked into the club – smiling and cracking jokes like nothing had happened days ago when he was released from hospital care. It seemed quite natural for him to be back on track so soon after such an event.

Just like after his initial hospital stay, Leno is taking the stage again following his motorcycle accident. His much-anticipated show in Las Vegas is set for this March!
