For the past 27 years, Mark Ford has worked as a cook at an airport Burger King. He was raising his two young daughters alone. Mr. Ford took the position since it would guarantee him regular income and ensure that his family qualified for health insurance.

Kevin is a fantastic employee. He was hardworking and never missed a day of work. He later remarried and had two more daughters. According to one of his granddaughters, Seryna, her father continued working at Burger King since he gets “amazing health insurance.”

His children are now adults, and he’s even a grandfather. His retirement is drawing near at 54, but despite his years of hard work (27 in total), the company he works for in Las Vegas doesn’t provide him with the proper compensation.

The small gift bag they gave him included candy, a Starbucks cup, pens, a lanyard and a movie ticket. In addition to that slice of cake, the managers brought him to celebrate his dedication to work.

Despite the fact that everyone would agree that it isn’t enough compensation for almost three decades of service to the firm, it is a touching video. He said he was ecstatic with the token of appreciation given to him by his coworkers and employer.

However, for those who were disappointed with what they considered to be an insufficient “thank you” for over 27 years of labor, things did not go as planned.

Seryna, his daughter, was one of those who felt sorry for his father…

She created a GoFundMe campaign to give him the recognition he deserved and set a goal of $200, not expecting much.

Seryna wrote on the GoFundMe page: “My dad continues to work there because though he does look young, he is coming up on retirement age, and leaving would cost him his retirement. In no way are we asking for money or is he expecting any money but if anyone feels like blessing him he would love to visit his grandchildren.”

She was ecstatic when she discovered that the donated sum had reached $358,470!

It was undoubtedly far more than the family could have ever hoped or imagined for Kevin. In fact, even actor David Spade offered $5,000 to the charity.

Seryna writing to express her gratitude toward those who have helped her dad. She wrote: “Y’all shattered the original goal so I increased it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much.”

How wonderful it is to be loved by complete strangers, as has been demonstrated by the amount of support that total strangers have given him. Kevin said to ‘Today’ “I’ve been crying for about two days now. It’s just incredible. ” He continued, “I just go to work and try to have fun and laugh and make other people’s day good. It’s like I’ve been in a dream for almost two days now.

It’s just so beautiful and awesome. It really is. For all those years, you feel unappreciated, but you get up just like everybody else. You do your job, and for somebody to show this appreciation is just overwhelming. ”

He said that his family loves him, and then he spoke about what his daughter had done for him. He said, “I can’t repay her, you know? Because she is why I do everything — her and my other daughters and now my grandkids. I really can’t put into words how much I love my family.”

Mr. Ford plans to utilize the gift in paying off debts and spending some on seeing his kids and grandchildren.
