Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams just suffered another humiliating setback—this time at the hands of the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Her radical leftist “community investment group” was set to receive a jaw-dropping $2 billion in taxpayer-funded grants from the Biden administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), but thanks to a last-minute intervention by Trump’s team, the deal has been stopped in its tracks.
According to documents uncovered by DOGE, the Biden-Harris administration had quietly funneled an astronomical $20 billion into politically connected leftist organizations—one of which was Abrams’ so-called “Power Forward Communities.” This group, which had a laughable $100 in revenue in 2023, was miraculously selected to receive a $2 billion payday, a staggering 20 million times its reported earnings.
Fortunately, new EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin acted swiftly to put an end to this blatant misuse of taxpayer money. In a statement to the Washington Free Beacon, Zeldin vowed to bring accountability back to the EPA, saying, “I made a commitment to members of Congress and to the American people to be a good steward of tax dollars, and I’ve wasted no time in keeping my word.”
Zeldin didn’t mince words when discussing the scandal, calling out the Biden administration’s blatant attempt to funnel billions to left-wing activists under the guise of “climate equity.”
“When we learned about the Biden Administration’s scheme to quickly park $20 billion outside the agency, we suspected that some organizations were created out of thin air just to take advantage of this,” he explained.
And Abrams’ group was a prime example of that fraud.
Energy policy expert Daniel Turner, the executive director of Power the Future, called out the absurdity of the grant, telling the Free Beacon, “For an organization that has no experience in this, that was literally just established, and had $100 in the bank to receive a $2 billion grant—it doesn’t just fly in the face of common sense, it’s out-and-out fraud.”
Zeldin, in a scathing video statement, ripped into the EPA’s previous leadership for enabling this wasteful spending spree.
“Roughly twenty billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA,” he revealed. “This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history and it was purposefully designed to obligate all of the money in a rush job with reduced oversight.”
But those days are over.
Zeldin made it clear that under Trump’s leadership, the EPA will no longer serve as a cash machine for the radical left. “There will be zero tolerance of any waste and abuse. We will review every penny that has gone out the door,” he declared. “The days of irresponsibly shoveling boatloads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity are over.”
This is exactly why Trump’s America First agenda is so crucial. Under Biden, the federal government was little more than a slush fund for Democrats and their activist allies. Abrams—who has made a career out of losing elections and crying foul—was gearing up for the biggest payout of her life, all on the backs of hardworking taxpayers.
But thanks to Trump’s leadership, and Zeldin’s no-nonsense approach, the left’s corrupt gravy train is coming to an end. The only question now is: What other fraudulent schemes will the Biden-era EPA be exposed for next?
