CNN’s Abby Phillip had a full-blown meltdown on live TV when former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) dared to do what few guests ever do on the liberal network: tell the truth. In a fiery exchange on *CNN NewsNight*, Walker boldly confronted Phillip over her blatant lies about Elon Musk, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and President Trump’s efforts to root out corruption without touching seniors’ hard-earned benefits.

The drama unfolded after Phillip falsely claimed that Musk and DOGE officials had discussed cutting Social Security and Medicaid during a recent town hall. In classic CNN fashion, she twisted comments about eliminating fraud in government programs into a doom-and-gloom narrative about slashing benefits for vulnerable Americans.

But Walker wasn’t having it.

“Actually, he never talked about that,” Walker interjected, cutting through the spin. “He explicitly said in Green Bay he would not cut Social Security. That’s exactly what he said.”

Phillip doubled down, trying to shift blame by accusing Musk of suggesting cuts “at his rallies,” but Walker shut that down too. “No, no. Other people said that,” Walker snapped. “But I was there. I watched him. He did not say he was going to cut Medicaid.”

When Phillip tried to suggest that merely discussing the programs was politically risky, Walker hit back with a dose of reality: “There are [risks] when people believe the lies that people are saying about that. That’s not at all what they said. If people believe that Medicaid and Medicare are going to be touched, that’s a flat-out lie.”

And he’s right. What Musk and the Trump-aligned DOGE team actually discussed was the disturbing level of fraud infecting entitlement programs—fraud that hurts the very people Democrats claim to defend. Walker laid it out clearly: “What he talked about was people who are over 120 years old who clearly are not alive, getting Social Security or Medicaid benefits. That’s totally wrong. I think Democrats even believe that.”

But don’t count on CNN to admit that.

Musk, for his part, was clear and unequivocal. He told voters in Green Bay: “In fact, what we’re doing will help their benefits. Legitimate people, as a result of the work of DOGE, will receive more Social Security, not less.”

He repeated the point with conviction: “I want to emphasize that: as a result of the work of DOGE, legitimate recipients of Social Security will receive more money, not less money.” And he didn’t stop there. “Let the record show that I said this, and it will be proven out to be true.”

What we witnessed on CNN wasn’t journalism—it was activism. The Left is panicking because Trump and his allies are finally doing what Washington has refused to do for decades: clean up bloated, fraud-ridden bureaucracies without hurting real Americans.

Abby Phillip’s outburst was just another symptom of that panic. Because when Democrats lose control of the narrative, they lash out—and thanks to truth-tellers like Scott Walker, the American people are finally seeing through the smokescreen.
