According to reports, Brad Pitt enabled a widower to live completely rent-free in his expansive Los Angeles estate.

Cassandra Peterson, the actress behind “Elvira”, originally owned the 1.9-acre Los Feliz property that Brad Pitt acquired in 1994. As an act of kindness and generosity, he allowed a gentleman to live on his land until reaching age 105 before eventually passing away.

Peterson recounted to People her experience with the “Fight Club” star, saying “He was very, very kind to the husband.”

“[This man’s] wife passed away and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died.”

According to Peterson, after Pitt began purchasing the adjacent homes that went available on the market, an unlikely relationship between him and his neighbor developed. The actor once shared this home with ex-wife Angelina Jolie as well as their six children.

“I think there were like 22 houses that were contiguous to the edge of the property,” the actress, 71, said. “And every time they came up, he bought one.”

When Brad Pitt, at the age of 59, set his sights on a certain property it brought back memories as this was originally owned by an elderly man when he was only in his early nineties.

When the house was up for sale, reports suggest that the actor made an agreement with the widow, allowing her to live in it rent-free after he obtained possession of it.

Peterson quipped with amusement, commenting on the man’s remarkable longevity of over a century, that it felt like he “just kept living forever.”

“I imagine Brad was thinking, ‘Well, you know, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now.’”

According to the Post, Brad Pitt has successfully sold his luxurious Los Angeles residence from the ’90s at an impressive $39 million – more than double its original purchase price.

When he bought Los Feliz property, Pitt outdid himself with an impressive array of additions. His collection boasted a skating rink, tennis court, swimming pool, Koi pond, skate park and motorcycle garage along with a ballroom and movie theater to top it off!
