Former Miss Teen Canada finalist and TikTok influencer Tanya Pardazi has died from injuries suffered in a skydiving accident. Pardazi, 21, was injured when her main parachute failed to open during her descent. Pardazi’s close friend reported that Pardazi had never skydived before, and would be doing it alone without an instructor.

After Pardazi took a skydiving course with Skydive Toronto in Innisfil, Ontario, she was able to skydive by herself. To prepare, she spent an entire day practicing different maneuvers on the ground. Because she completed the certification, skydiving without being tethered to another person was an option for her. Unfortunately, on Saturday, while jumping from 4,000 feet in the air, her parachute failed to open correctly, resulting in her death.

Pardazi, according to a statement from Skydive Toronto “released a quickly-rotating main parachute at a low altitude without the time or altitude required for the reserve parachute to inflate.” The skydiving organization continued, “The jumper was a welcomed recent addition to the skydiving community and will be missed amongst the student’s new friends.”

According to Skydive Toronto, they had taught Pardazi how to transition safely to her second parachute should her main one fail. Reporters from all over the world are still trying to find out more information about what happened and why her main parachute didn’t open. So far, there is no official statement released by Skydive Toronto yet regarding the death of their famous TikTok client.

After falling 4,000 feet and crashing to the ground, paramedics quickly arrived on the scene. They transported her to the hospital, but unfortunately, there were nothing doctors could do. The former beauty queen was pronounced dead soon after arriving at the hospital.

Pardazi’s death has shocked the TikTok community. Her friend, Melody Ozgoli, told CTV News Toronto that she died during her first attempt at skydiving alone.

“Tanya had an interest in anything that was new and adventurous,” Ozgoli stated. “Life was too boring for her, and she was always trying to do something adventurous. She really lived every second to the fullest.”

Her friend said, “This is the biggest shock to us. It’s very hard to process. It’s been a couple of days, but we still don’t believe it.”

Tanya Pardazi, a 2017 Miss Teen Canada semifinalist, had 100,000+ fans on TikTok. According to Daily Mail, in her videos, she covered a variety of topics like ancient aliens and animal science.

Pardazi’s final TikTok video from August 22, 2022, was about how she completed a Tetris puzzle with the help of Adderall, a prescription medication for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Pardazi was popular and people remembered him for being “brave.”

“Everyone who met her thought the world of her,” Kimia Sepanlou said. “Whenever we saw her, we knew we were in for an adventure because she didn’t like letting herself, or the people closest to her, get bored.”
