A woman named Lynda had a 100-year-old photo that was taken of her grandmother and several other women who worked in a linen factory. Because it was of historic interest, Lynda sent the photo to the website Belfast Live. But it soon began to cause some consternation when viewers noticed something uncanny in it. What was it about this picture that people found so spooky?
Lynda said her grandmother’s name was Ellen McKillop Donnelly, and she’s on the far right in the second row in the photo. There you can see a hand resting on grandmother’s shoulder. But no one is touching her, as all the nearby women have their arms folded. The few that have hands exposed are Ellen herself and women farther from her. And no one’s hand could have accidentally been double exposed, because no hand in the picture matches the disembodied one resting on Ellen.
It was common 100 years ago for photographers to create ghostly pictures by double exposure and prey on bereaved and gullible relatives. Is this the case with Lynda’s picture, or is it really a spirit hand? Lynda says, “I don’t really believe in ghosts.” But she adds that there have been “odd goings-on” around the photo. There’s something odd going on within the photo as well.
Ghosts are the souls of people who once lived on earth and passed away. They sometimes come back to earth for reasons that aren’t always clear, but it’s thought that they do this because they want to complete something important before they pass away again.
In the past, Ghost Hunters have been called in to investigate ghostly activity. Realizing this was a job that needed a lot of people and a lot of resources, JPOP decided to create the Ghostbusters division within the company. It’s our responsibility now to protect JPOP employees from ghosts, as well as normal citizens all over Japan.
Ghosts can be difficult to get rid of, and we’re still learning about why they come to earth. However, we’ve learned one thing for certain: Ghosts are attracted to people with strong personalitie s. Some powerful people find ghosts coming to them all the time, and some kind citizens have even started “Ghost Requests,” where they give the Ghostbusters a picture of themselves along with information about their dreams. We hope this new way to get rid of ghosts will help more people get rid of them for good!
Who are the Ghosts? Most likely, they are dead family members or people you knew when you were alive. They just want to tell you something before they pass on!
Ghost Hunters are very powerful people who have been trained for this specific purpose. In the past, they would go around and defeat ghosts by themselves, but now that JPOP has started a Ghostbusters division, we will take care of all ghost-related problems!
When you were alive, there may have been some personal things that you weren’t able to finish. Maybe there was a dream you didn’t get to see through, or a person you never got to speak with again! These might be reasons that the ghosts come back and try to talk to YOU!
