This father was very angry.

A man’s video of him slapping a bear in order to save his family from the aggressive animal has gone viral.

In the video clip, which has been viewed over 6.2 million times on TikTok, Anthony Mooren can be seen yelling at the furry intruder while attempting to keep his dog out of harms way.

The confrontation ended after Mooren started making loud noises and slapping the bear, causing it to retreat.

“Get back, get back,” just before he smacked the bear in the face, Mooren said.

It is currently unknown what type of bear they encountered, and The Post has not been able to get a comment from Mooren.

Some commenters made fun of the unbelievable confrontation.

“Dude said call an ambulance but not for me,” said one person.

“Grandpa can you tell me the story of the Slap of ‘22,” another person joked.

“I’m more afraid of the dude than the bear at this point,” added a third person.

The National Park Service has released a guide on what to do if you cross paths with a bear, which includes speaking in a calm voice so the animal understands that you’re human and not food.

“Remain still; stand your ground, but slowly wave your arms,” stated the NPS.

“It may come closer or stand on its hind legs to get a better look or smell. A standing bear is usually curious, not threatening.”

The National Park Service advises that humans should stay motionless when they encounter a bear, as movement might cause the animal to attack.
