According to sources, the United Airlines employee seen in a violent altercation with a former NFL player at Newark Airport last week has been dismissed.

“United Ground Express informed us that the employee has been terminated,” an airline representative stated in an email. “The company’s connection subsidiary, United Ground Express, informed us that the worker has been dismissed.”

On Thursday, a video went viral of an unidentified employee shoving ex-Denver Broncos cornerback Brendan Langley, 27. He then unleashes a deluge of blows that send the individual staggering at about 11 a.m. Thursday.

The dazed uniformed worker then raises his gloves and delivers a blow to the face of the larger athlete.

“You saw that s—?” At one point, an enraged Langley screams at a passer-by and then delivers a punch to the employee’s head that leaves him bleeding from the scalp.

The United employee gets up and confronts the football player once again, bloodied.

“You wants some more? He wants some more!” Langley said.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said that a receiver for the Calgary Stampeders, Langley, has been arrested on a count of simple assault.

The sequence of events leading up to the brawl was unclear, as no one has been charged for it yet. The former airline employee who is seen in the video has not been charged in connection with the scuffle.

The video of the altercation went viral, with one source claiming that Langley struck first.

According to the Daily Mail, the dispute began when Langley carried his belongings in a wheelchair rather than a luggage cart that cost $5.

“Yall aint off the hook… worst customer experience in the entirety of my life on Heaven!!!!” says Langley. In a tweet, he claims that he was assaulted by a United employee and was merely defending himself.

According to The Post, a United representative told the paper Monday, “does not tolerate violence of any kind at our airports or onboard our planes and we are working with local authorities to further investigate this matter.”

Meanwhile, the Calgary Stampeders said they are looking into an incident in which one of their players was assaulted.

“The Calgary Stampeders football club is aware of the reports concerning Brendan Langley,” the Stampeders stated.

“The team is currently looking into the matter in order to learn the full details and will have no further comment until the investigation is complete,” the team said.

He was selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft and made 16 appearances in the league before arriving in Canada this year.
