Kelsey Grammer is a highly decorated actor who has won multiple awards, including five Emmys and three Golden Globes, for his roles in popular shows like “Frasier,” “The Simpsons,” and “Boss.” He has now taken on a role in the Christian drama “Jesus Revolution” which he believes could be his best work yet. He hopes to continue promoting Jesus’s mission through his performances.

“It’s really uplifting. It’s a good movie,” Grammer said. “My wife and I saw it together. She was just dissolved in tears and said, ‘It’s the best thing you’ve ever done.’”

In the movie, Grammer plays the role of real-life pastor Chuck Smith. During the 1960s and 1970s, Smith invited hippies and rock music to his congregation in an effort to revive his dying church. He was aided by an enthusiastic street preacher named Lonnie Frisbee, portrayed by Jonathan Roumie.

“They were energized and optimistic, and I thought that was a great thing to see,” stated Grammer.

Grammer continued, “What Chuck did went back to one of the basic precepts of Christianity, which is inclusion. He thought, ‘Well, I’m doing it this way, and people aren’t listening,’ so he finally surrendered. He said, ‘You show me a hippie, and I’ll listen.’ Sure enough, it became a very dynamic relationship between him and Lonnie Frisbee. It became a great adventure, which is still going on. His (Calvary Chapel) church branched into 1,000 churches around the country, and it still exists. Christian contemporary music is going gangbusters, and (the Jesus movement) put that at his doorstep.”

Grammer is a devout Christian and feels grateful to have found a Hollywood role that allows him to publicly live out his faith for the American audience. Through his role in the Jesus Revolution, he is excited to demonstrate his love for Jesus in an authentic way and share it with others.

“I’ve had hiccups. I’ve had some tragic times,” he said. “I have wrestled with those and worked my way through them: sometimes rejecting faith, sometimes rejecting God even, in a period of being pretty angry about it, like, ‘Where were you?’ That kind of thing. But I have come to terms with it and have found great peace in my faith and in Jesus. It’s not cavalier — Jesus made a difference in my life. That’s not anything I’ll apologize for.”

It is uncertain if “Jesus Revolution” will be the movie that earns Kelsey Grammer his fourth Golden Globe award. However, it is clear that he takes every opportunity to share his belief in Jesus Christ, which is a beautiful thing to see.

The film is generating awards hype and will be available on Netflix during the summer. While we hope Grammer gets recognition for his performance, what stands out the most is his unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ, which is truly inspiring coming from a Hollywood icon.

Kelsey Grammer’s faith is unwavering, regardless of circumstances. In an industry where many prioritize their own fame and status, his devotion to Jesus Christ shines brightly.
