On March 15, 2022, brothers Brooke and Adrian Gilley (aged eleven and twelve) unexplainably vanished from their Missouri residence. For the last 11 months law enforcement had been unable to locate them – until now! It was only recently discovered that the siblings were hiding in Florida with their biological mother wearing disguises in a desperate attempt to conceal their identities. The police’s suspicions have been confirmed; Kristi Nicole Gilley (36), who has no custody rights of these children, kidnapped her own sons!

Last March, Gilley unlawfully had custody of the two children when they went missing. Fortunately, thanks to a routine vehicle tag check by authorities, her car was found 1,100 miles away from their Missouri home at a Winn-Dixie store in Florida. After conducting an investigation into the matter and learning that she was wanted by law enforcement officials for other matters, police officers arrested Gilley at another grocery store about twenty miles outside of Gainesville.

After an extensive search, authorities identified Greille Gilley at a grocery store with two young children wearing disguises. Upon arrest, she was recognized as the mother of Brooke and Adrian Gilley who had gone missing eleven months prior in Florida. Thanks to their grit and dedication in finding this family, police were able to reunite two kidnapped children with their rightful home.

Thankfully, the two Missouri children have been rescued from their kidnapper of a mother and are now in the care of Florida Department of Children and Families Services until they can be reunited with their rightful guardians.

With the help of Florida officials, these two children will be able to reconnect with their birth family. Before Gilley took them halfway across America from California to Florida, authorities were under the impression that the youngsters had remained hidden in their home state on the opposite side of this continent.

Gilley is currently being detained by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and will soon be extradited to Clay County, Missouri where she must face justice for abducting her own children while she was not legally allowed to have custody of them.

Liberty Police Department in Missouri stated: “Both Gilley kids have been safely located out of state. Their non-custodial mother is in custody on parental kidnapping charges out of Clay County, Missouri. Thank you to everyone who shared this post, as it helped bring these children home!!!”

Daily Mail followers were quick to offer their opinions on the story in the comments section. One person wrote, “Heartbreaking that a mother has to do this to be with her kids. It’s obvious she loves them and would do anything to be with them. Would the other parent? Sometimes men will take the kids to hurt the mother when they don’t really want them. And it comes down to who can pay for the best attorney. I went down the same road and ran away. Found a good pro bono lawyer who believed in me.”
