The whole idea behind The Masker Singer is to shock the judges and audience. When controversial political figure Rudy Giuliani, 77, was revealed to be one of the stars behind one of the masks, judge Ken Jeong could not believe it – so he stormed off the stage in a bad mood as a sign of protest against his prominent Republican colleague known for supporting everything Trump did.

When Jeong, a progressive, walked off the sound stage of The Masked Singer when Giuliani, a Trump supporter and buddy of his, emerged as one of the singers behind a mask, he did so because he does not like or support Trump or his crony. For those who are unfamiliar with the Fox series, celebrities are encouraged to go on stage and sing various songs while wearing an ornate mask that hides their identity. On the show, judges are supposed to attempt to determine who is hidden behind masks by looking at contestants’ performances.

On the program, Jeong served as a judge alongside Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jenny McCarthy. Giuliani took a break from his political campaigns to appear on The Masked Singer and “have some fun”, where he donned Jack in the Box attire and sang George Thorogood’s hit song “Bad to the Bone.”

Giuliani removed his disguise with a broad grin on his face as he revealed who he was. While Jeong was enraged to discover Trump’s previous personal lawyer, the Fox program’s two female judges were overjoyed since they had no idea that Giuliani was behind the Jack in the Box mask.

However, when Giuliani emerged behind the mask, Jeong crossed his arms and appeared to be unhappy. He then stormed off the set, declaring, “I’m done!”

It was also claimed that Fox cut off Robin Thicke’s departure from the stage. However, as Giuliani sang through the last chorus of Thorogood’s hit in his distinctive voice, the two female judges encouraged him on.

Jeong did not fly off the set the moment he discovered who was behind the mask, as it appears. His emotions simmered for a while before he departed the stage.

Meanwhile, the program’s presenter Nick Cannon attempted to keep things civil when Giuliani was unveiled.

“It surprises us all that you’re here on The Masked Singer,” Cannon stated.

“This is definitely something I would never have guessed,” said Robin Thicke.

Giuliani had a ball on the show. He claimed he accepted the invitation to appear on the program because his granddaughter suggested that “you should try everything, even things that are completely unlike you and unlikely. And I couldn’t think of anything more unlike me and unlikely than this.”

What do you think about Giuliani on The Masked Singer? Were you able to guess that he was behind the mask?
