Another day, another Democrat scandal—this time out of deep-blue Fort Bend County, Texas, where County Judge KP George has been slapped with multiple felony charges for money laundering in what prosecutors say was a corrupt scheme to funnel money into his own campaign.
The same Democrats who once championed George as a rising political star are now abandoning him in droves, as the details of his alleged misconduct become impossible to ignore. This is the same party that lectures America on “ethics” and “integrity”—yet once again, one of their own has been caught red-handed.
George, who first wormed his way into public office in 2018 and was re-elected in 2022, was already under a cloud of suspicion. In 2024, he was indicted for a misdemeanor charge of misrepresentation of identity. But that was just the beginning. On April 4, 2025, George was hit with two felony indictments for money laundering—an escalation that has embarrassed Texas Democrats and outraged taxpayers.
According to prosecutors, the new charges are the result of a long-running investigation into George’s financial dealings, including shady campaign activity. While George claims he merely loaned money to his campaign and paid himself back—a practice he insists is legal—the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office isn’t buying it. In a statement, prosecutors said these indictments are based on “a thorough investigation,” and emphasized that the money laundering charges are separate from the earlier misdemeanor case.
The truth? This wasn’t some clerical error or innocent mistake. Prosecutors believe Judge George used campaign finances as his personal piggy bank, laundering money under the guise of legal loans. And now he wants the public to believe he’s the *victim*.
In typical Democrat fashion, George is crying foul, accusing the District Attorney of “weaponizing” the legal system against him. That’s ironic, considering the Left has made a sport of abusing the justice system to target conservatives, especially Donald Trump and his allies. But when the spotlight turns on one of their own, suddenly it’s “unfair” and “politically motivated.”
Even George’s fellow Democrats have had enough. Fort Bend County Democratic Party Chairman Fred Taylor publicly called for George to resign, slamming his attempt to play the victim card. “It’s time for him to do the right thing and just step down,” Taylor said. “This county judge has shown his character of always wanting to be the victim.”
Commissioner Dexter L. McCoy echoed that sentiment, saying the indictment shows a “clear breach” of public trust. “Holding positions of public trust mandates that we hold ourselves to a higher standard,” McCoy stated. “My office remains committed to serving the people of Fort Bend County as we navigate the long road ahead.”
Once again, Democrats preach accountability but fall silent—or turn on each other—when their own corruption is exposed. KP George’s fall from grace is just the latest example of the rot festering in the Left’s political machine.
And make no mistake: if this were a Republican judge, the media would be in a frenzy. But when it’s a Democrat? Cue the excuses and finger-pointing. Texans—and all Americans—deserve better.
