Joja is a YouTube channel that has models on it. Josephine tells the story of how she was discovered as a Model. Jasmine was 14 or 15 and she was in New York City for a soccer exchange program with her other friends. Then, she was approached by a scout while she was in a trailer. And she was creeped out by him, actually saying something like, “No offense to modeling scouts, but your job is like really creepy,” Jasmine went on to say that she was thinking “stranger danger!” the whole time and thought that he was basically just stalking her. However, with help from her trainer, she found out that it was legit when the scout gave her a card. Jasmine said that she was a Tom boy wearing football clothes and she was gangly with long arms and legs. Then she went back to Denmark but got constant calls from them.

She finally signed with the agency and was actually still with them. The other woman, Jasmine talked about how most girls want to be doctors, but she wanted to be a model ever since she was little. She talked about how it was important to be tall as a model when she was younger, but it’s not as important anymore. Jasmine was also about 14 or 14 with her mother who was a fashion stylist. Jasmine was always following her around and saw the behind the scenes. Jasmine went into a showroom for her mother, and one of the women there told Jasmine’s mother that Jasmine should become a model, but her mother wanted Jasmine to finish high school first. Jasmine flew to New York and met with IMG, who wanted Jasmine to be full time, but her mother didn’t want that. However, Jasmine did start doing modeling jobs part-time here and there while trying to finish high school. She got in trouble with the highschool though, since she missed so many days.Jasmine signed up for independent studies and was able to do the work on planes for homework. When she turned 18, she moved to New York and started her full-time career. She knew no one there until she met Josephine. Until then, the only person she knew at all was her agents.

Josephine and Jasmine met each other around 10 years ago and they did little jobs here and there before they went full time. This was fashion week.
They both tried to get up to 20 or so casting during the weeks. They talked about how they needed help from their parents. They had trouble moving around since before the age of the Internet since they could never find any place where they were supposed to go through maps. They emphasized how important it was to have support when they tried to get modeling jobs. Josephine and Jasmine said they loved being on the runway, but all the castings took up all of their time and they barely had any time for eating while doing castings and fittings and hair and makeup tests.
