The weather is getting colder, and this means people are on the hunt for great slow cooker recipes. Few things are better than coming home to a meal in a slow cooker after a long day at work.

If you haven’t found a great slow cooker recipe yet, you should check out this pineapple chicken recipe. Someone just shared it on the Internet, and everyone is loving it! It will make your home smell delicious, and it will beat away those winter blues.

The recipe is simple. First, you need to mix 1 cup of pineapple juice, 1/2 cup of chicken broth, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 3 cloves of minced garlic in a bowl.

Next, place 12 chicken thighs in a slow cooker. Pour the pineapple juice mixture on top of the chicken. Dump 20 oz. of pineapple chunks into the slow cooker. Let the slow cooker run on low for 5 to 6 hours.

Baste the chicken every two or three hours. When it is almost done, whisk together 1/4 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Pour this mixture into the slow cooker. Let the chicken cook for another 30 minutes.

Finally, gently scoop the chicken and pineapple out of the slow cooker.
