It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Stone, beloved brother to Sharon Stone and cherished friend. He was 57 years old.
Patrick’s untimely demise occurred early Sunday morning, February 12, 2023, in Pennsylvania. An official from the coroner’s office stated that his death was a result of cardiac arrest related to heart disease.
On Monday afternoon, 64-year-old Sharon posted a heartfelt tribute to her brother on Instagram.
“RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone,” she accompanied a picture of the two in an intimate embrace with a caption that included an emoji of a dove, conveying her love for him.
Tragically, Patrick was taken from us less than two years after his beloved son and godson River passed away unexpectedly at the tender age of 11 months due to a complete organ failure.
On Monday, Tasha Stone, wife of the late Patrick Stone, made a heartfelt announcement on social media that her husband had passed away and been reunited with their beloved son in heaven.
“My heart feels like it’s been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River … I don’t know what else to say, he was my world,” she wrote.
“I’m not sure what life is supposed to look like without my husband by my side and quite honestly I don’t want to, but I will of course,” Tasha added. “Until we meet again I will forever hold you and our wonderful (and some not so wonderful but just as important) memories close to my heart and will visit those memories always.”
“I love you honey babe. My wish through all of this is that now at least River has his daddy with him and I hope the two of you are having the best time,” she ended.
Along with his beloved wife, Patrick is survived by his renowned sister from the film “Basic Instinct” and their two siblings Michael and Kelly Stone.
The Stone family is still coming to terms with the devastating loss of their beloved baby River, who passed away in August 2021.
On Instagram, the “Total Recall” star sadly revealed her nephew had passed away. To honor him, she shared a moving video of his smiling face accompanied by Eric Clapton’s poignant song “Tears in Heaven” as an ode to her lost loved one.
Tragically, River had to be admitted into the hospital just a week prior to his passing due to a rapid decline in organ function.
A month following River’s death, Stone disclosed that he had graciously given three lives a second chance by donating his organs.
In a heartfelt interview with People magazine, the “Casino” star revealed how her nephew and godson’s organs were donated to those who desperately need them.
“The fact that my godson was able to save three lives, two infants and a 45-year-old man, was a sanctuary for our family,” she stated.
“I can only say that you never, never know when a tragedy will happen in your life or in your family, but this opportunity to be an organ donor, it saved us, saved our family,” she added. “Many people have many different thoughts about this, but in the end, it gave us some peace.”
