The charges accuse McConnell of abusing his judicial power to advance a political agenda rather than impartially upholding the law—something all too common among unelected liberal judges who obstruct conservative policies.
Judge McConnell, a known partisan, has been at the center of a legal battle involving 22 states and the District of Columbia. At issue was President Trump’s decision to halt federal grant funds—something well within his executive authority. But McConnell, rather than interpreting the law as written, chose to interfere with the President’s rightful decision, igniting outrage from conservatives who see judicial activism as a direct assault on both the Constitution and the will of the American people.
Rep. Clyde’s impeachment resolution, revealed by *Fox News Digital*, argues that McConnell’s behavior is grounds for removal. Impeachment is a rarely used but constitutionally valid tool to hold federal judges accountable for misconduct. And while it has historically been underutilized, Trump and his allies have long called for its use against judges who overstep their boundaries in an attempt to subvert conservative governance.
For the impeachment to succeed, it must pass the House and then clear the Senate with a two-thirds majority—no easy feat given the entrenched establishment. However, Rep. Clyde remains committed to exposing judicial corruption and ensuring judges like McConnell face consequences for their actions.
Adding fuel to the fire, Chief Justice John Roberts—who has drawn criticism for his left-leaning decisions—rushed to McConnell’s defense, making an uncharacteristic public statement opposing judicial impeachments. “For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose,” Roberts said.
This blatant attempt to shield activist judges from accountability only underscores the urgent need for reform. Judges like McConnell continue to legislate from the bench, blocking policies that Americans voted for, all while hiding behind their black robes and pretending to be neutral arbiters.
Rep. Clyde didn’t mince words when addressing McConnell’s conduct, calling it “unethical and perilous” and declaring that impeachment was the only appropriate response. “The American people overwhelmingly voted for President Trump in November, providing a clear mandate to make our federal government more efficient,” Clyde told *Fox News Digital*. “Yet Judge McConnell, who stands to benefit from his own injunction, is attempting to unilaterally obstruct the President’s agenda and defy the will of the American people. Judge McConnell’s actions are corrupt, dangerous, and worthy of impeachment.”
Further exposing McConnell’s bias, resurfaced footage from 2021 shows the judge making openly partisan remarks, in which he accused the Trump administration of reckless governance and even implied that judges should act as a counterforce to a “tyrant.” Clyde directly cited this as proof that McConnell is unfit for the bench, as he is clearly incapable of ruling without prejudice.
