Another day, another radical leftist trying to remake America in the image of failed socialist regimes.
Zohran Mamdani, a self-described democratic socialist and mayoral hopeful for New York City, is proudly pushing a divisive tax plan that openly targets what he calls “richer and Whiter neighborhoods.” The controversial comments, made during a recent appearance on NBC’s *Meet the Press*, have sparked outrage—and for good reason.
Mamdani’s so-called “Stop the Squeeze on NYC Homeowners” plan isn’t just another misguided tax proposal. It’s a thinly veiled attack on success, prosperity, and yes—white, middle-class families who’ve worked hard to earn what they have. While trying to deflect accusations of racism, Mamdani essentially doubled down, insisting that his targeting of wealthier, whiter areas was simply “an assessment of the neighborhood.”
That’s not equality—that’s blatant race-based redistribution.
“I’m just naming things as they are,” Mamdani smugly told NBC, pretending to stand for “fairness” while promoting a deeply Marxist worldview. He even went so far as to declare, “I don’t think that we should have billionaires.” In other words, the American Dream—building success, wealth, and opportunity through hard work—is now an offense to be erased under Mamdani’s vision of “justice.”
Let’s be clear: this is not someone interested in governing a diverse and thriving metropolis. This is a radical activist who wants to punish success, divide people by race and income, and use government power to pick economic winners and losers.
Fortunately, President Trump wasted no time in responding to Mamdani’s dangerous rhetoric. Taking to Truth Social, the 45th—and hopefully 47th—President of the United States wrote, *“As President of the United States, I’m not going to let this Communist Lunatic destroy New York. Rest assured, I hold all the levers, and have all the cards. I’ll save New York City, and make it ‘Hot’ and ‘Great’ again, just like I did with the Good Ol’ USA!”*
He’s not wrong. Under Trump, New York saw a revival of economic growth and public safety. Under the woke Left, it’s become a playground for crime, taxes, and anti-American ideology.
Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) raised a powerful question in response to Mamdani’s comments: *Should this man even be eligible to run for mayor?* Mamdani was once a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America—an openly Marxist group—and questions are now swirling about whether he lied on his citizenship application.
“If he checked ‘NO’ on his N-400 form when asked about associations with a Communist party, then he LIED. Get the plane ready—he might be going back!” Ogles said.
He’s not alone in that sentiment. Across social media, conservatives blasted Mamdani’s radicalism. One user asked, *“Why on Earth would we allow ANY self-proclaimed socialists to become American citizens?”* Another pointed out Mamdani’s alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood—a group notorious for its anti-American extremism.
Mamdani’s campaign is yet another warning sign of where the Left is headed: race-based policy, anti-capitalist rhetoric, and open disdain for American values. New Yorkers—and all Americans—must wake up before it’s too late.
