On Tuesday, March 11, MSNBC host Alicia Menendez had a full-blown meltdown over President Donald Trump’s strong stance against the violent, politically motivated attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships across the country. Menendez accused Trump of unfairly favoring a private company—conveniently ignoring the fact that these coordinated assaults are nothing short of domestic terrorism.
Of course, President Trump’s response is entirely logical. As Elon Musk leads the Department of Government Efficiency, left-wing radicals are trying to intimidate him into backing down from his mission to cut waste, fraud, and abuse from the bloated federal government. By targeting his business interests, they’re not just attacking Tesla—they’re attempting to silence Musk and, by extension, the Trump administration’s efforts to bring accountability to Washington.
That’s why Trump is calling these attacks what they are: acts of domestic terror. They’re not protests. They’re criminal, politically motivated acts designed to threaten and destroy. And only by treating them with the seriousness they deserve can law and order be restored.
Naturally, this common-sense approach sent Menendez into a frenzy. She fumed that Trump was “taking the side of a certain company,” as if defending businesses from violent leftist mobs was somehow corrupt. She began her tirade by whining, “[Y]ou also, overnight, have this post claiming that protests at Tesla dealerships are illegal. He said today he would label violence against dealerships domestic terrorism. Now, you know I am judicious in how I play this sound, but I think you need to hear it from him.”
She then played a clip of President Trump being asked whether he considered the attacks on Tesla as acts of domestic terrorism. The reporter began, “Mr. President, talk to us about some of the violence that’s been going on around the country at dealerships. Some say they should be labeled domestic terrorists, because—”
Trump didn’t hesitate. He cut in and stated clearly, “I will do that. I’ll do it. I’m going to stop them. We catch anybody doing it — because they’re harming a great American company. … [L]et me tell you, you do it to Tesla and you do it to any company, we’re going to catch you and you’re going to go through hell.”
This triggered Menendez even further. Completely ignoring the destruction and violence being committed by leftist extremists, she tried to paint Trump’s crackdown as authoritarian while, ironically, defending those engaged in literal domestic terrorism. She shrieked, “So, just to be clear, you protest a private company, you are labeled by this administration a domestic terrorist. You show up at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 with the intent to overturn a fair and free election, and you get a pardon.”
Conservatives on X (formerly Twitter) weren’t having it. Curtis Houck mocked Menendez’s hypocrisy by referencing her father’s ongoing corruption scandal, writing, “This is kinda like Alicia Menendez’s dad—former Senator Bob Menendez—having argued in his bribery trial that the gold bars at his house and cash shoved into jacket pockets were just money stored for safe keeping.”
Once again, the liberal media refuses to condemn real violence while crying foul when Trump takes action to restore law and order. But the American people see through the hypocrisy, and Trump isn’t backing down.
