Angela Kennedy is a mother of five that had been struggling with her appearance during her adulthood, particularly her teeth. Fortunately for her, there was a program called Random Act of Happiness that heard of her issues and got in touch with her. This allowed her to work with a group of dental experts called Destination Happiness. Kennedy was very excited to undergo the procedure recommended for her by these experts. The procedure was a $30,000 makeover that transformed Kennedy’s appearance by fixing her teeth. To her children, she was considered unrecognizable due to the difference. The change helped Kennedy to feel good about her smile, and live her best life. She can now smile with confidence again. Kennedy was actually nominated for the program by her soon-to-be sister-in-law. On the application, the sister-in-law stated that Angela was the type of person who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She also stated that Kennedy had taken very good care of her five children, and would always put her own needs last. Logically this meant that Kennedy could never get the care she needed for her teeth despite all of the hard work she did.
The periodontist assigned to Kennedy’s case was a man named Simon Hinckfuss. Thanks to Kennedy’s sister-in-law, he heard about Kennedy not being able to have confidence and live an active live because of the issues with her teeth. Kennedy added that she was so ashamed of her teeth, that even leaving the car to watch her son play football was difficult. This was normal for her though, since she was so embarrassed that she didn’t want to be seen in public at all because of how problematic her teeth were. The makeover started with Dr. Hinckfuss doing an X-ray to see what was really going on. There were many sessions that followed, but step-by-step she was able to get what she needed, and ultimately had a brand new set of teeth set into her jawbone. The change in appearance was significant, with some describing Kennedy as looking like a completely new woman. In fact, her family hardly recognized her.
The generosity of Destination Happiness and their Random Act of Happiness program is what made this transformation possible for Kennedy. There was even a YouTube video made documenting Kennedy’s transformation, and her journey from having bad teeth to having a perfect smile. The video was fairly popular and got over 100 comments. It also detailed how people could apply for the Random Act of Happiness program. One woman commented that she understands what Angela Kennedy went through, saying that she went from never smiling to smiling all the time after she got her teeth worked on by professionals. She also said it was very freeing, and that she feels very happy for Angela. One of Kennedy’s children commented that they were very happy with the results, and went on to say that their mother looked amazing thanks to the dental work that had been done. They were also thankful to the dentists involved, and also all of the people who had donated to the cause as well.
