Remember COVID-19? That is why certain commercial enterprises are implementing precautions to keep customers from catching the coronavirus as the pandemic spreads throughout the United States. People aren’t happy with the new regulations, but they have to obey them.

Kids should not be taken in public areas, and certain businesses, for example, have become a challenge for single parents. On an individual basis, this rule is applied on a case-by-case basis; some restaurants allow single moms or dads to bring their kids with them. However, many people are opposed to it.

A single mother has recently spoken out about her experience and how she handled it after this scenario.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advises that everyone maintain a distance of at least six feet from others to help prevent the deadly virus from spreading. The CDC also encourages individuals to dress in protective masks when out in public. However, not everyone is pleased with this development.

Many have defied orders to avoid congregating in groups of more than ten, especially since they had to wear facemasks and be quarantined.

Businesses are restricting the number of people who can be in their places of business to six feet apart, as they wait their turn. Menards in Wisconsin, for example, has put up a notice prohibiting under-16s from entering. To be on the safe side, Menards will have customers who appear to be under the age of 16 have their identification scanned just to be on the safe side.

Before customers and employees are allowed into the store, their temperatures will be measured. A Menards spokesperson confirmed this.. “We absolutely love families, but need to lessen the number of people shopping in our stores, and I think it goes without saying that children need to be protected from people.”

Some single parents, on the other hand, claim that they are unable to follow these regulations.

MaryAnn Fausey Resendez, a single mother from Texas who is 41 years old, was concerned about how she and her 5-year-old daughter would be treated at a grocery store. She knew that people would speak out against her even with her young daughter there. As a result, MaryAnn took preventative actions to safeguard her kid from any hurtful or harmful comments.

She trekked to the market with her handmade sign attached to the back of her daughter’s shirt. The message on the sign is:

“I am only five. I can’t stay home alone so I have to buy groceries with mommy. Before you start judging, stay back six feet.”

With her facemask on, the tattoo artist mother loaded her daughter into the shopping cart. Still, she was mentally prepared for the punishment that would come her way. She wrote on her Facebook:, “The sign I made her wear cuz I just know some dumba** will take a picture & talk s**t on social media not knowing all the facts.”

Over 43,000 people have seen her message on Facebook once it has been published. To her surprise, her post has received hundreds and thousands of likes and comments. It appears that these individuals genuinely comprehend the problems that she’s been through.

We are all hoping that the epidemic will soon come to an end so that we may resume our normal routines.
