As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, Krysten and Janerio witnessed their son’s remarkable progress with both trepidation and hope. Finally, after 181 long and arduous days, Zaylan was pronounced healthy enough to leave the hospital’s protective embrace on June 21, 2023. For Krysten, it was a surreal moment, as she marveled at how far her little champion had come since that fragile day of birth.
