Royal expert claims Meghan Markle was “disappointed” to discover Prince Harry had “very little money” when they first met.

Tom Bower, author of the 2022 book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors” painted a picture of money obsession surrounding former “Suits” actress Meghan Markle in an interview with Daily Mail.

“Her great surprise and disappointment was that Prince Harry had very little money,” Bower said.

“She had imagined he would be worth hundreds of millions, if not billions, and she is having to make up for it now.”

The author mentioned that the couple was unable to sustain their lavish lifestyle while being actively employed as members of the royal family.

“[Markle] wants to ride in the big Cadillacs, the private jets on command,” he said. “At the moment she needs to scrounge for those sorts of things.”

According to Forbes’ estimates in 2021, Harry and Markle’s total net worth is a whopping $10 million. This includes the remainder of Harry’s inheritance from his late mother Princess Diana as well as their equity in the breathtaking Californian mansion located in Montecito.

When they quit their royal duties and moved to the US in 2020, they were denied access to a portion of the British crown’s estimated fortune of $34 billion.

After their marriage, Harry and Markle established Archewell Productions to create “programming that informs, elevates and inspires.”

The business recently inked a multi-year production agreement with Netflix, estimated to be worth between an impressive $100 million and $150 million. These figures were reported by Deadline.

In July 2021, Page Six reported exclusively that for his upcoming book, Harry had been paid a hefty advance of $20 million.

In his interview with the Daily Mail, Bower asserted that if Harry and Markle appear at King Charles III’s May 6 coronation, it could potentially “ruin” it.

Despite the controversy caused by Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” and Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan” airing his family’s secrets to the public, it is still expected that he and his wife will receive an invitation to attend the festivities.

Nonetheless, Bower warned that doing so could “overshadow” the joy of Charles’ 74th birthday.

In 2018, Harry and Meghan became newlyweds, and now have two beautiful children – Archie aged 3, and Lilibet 20 months.
