Appearing on CNN’s *State of the Union* on Sunday, May 25, Johnson defended the GOP’s new spending bill—describing it as a “big, beautiful” piece of legislation aimed at restoring sanity to Medicaid and other federal programs plagued by abuse and corruption.
Contrary to the left’s hysterical talking points, the bill does **not** cut Medicaid for Americans. What it does do—according to Speaker Johnson—is block **over 1.4 million** illegal aliens from continuing to siphon off taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits they are not legally entitled to receive in the first place.
