A former United States marine has had enough of people desecrating the American flag.
Shane Lawler unleashed his disdain for a new trend that is sweeping the internet, the so-called “Eric Shepard Challenge.” The challenge is asking people to dance and stomp on the American flag and then post the act on the internet.
Eric Shepard is a member of the Black Panthers who is wanted by Georgia police for bringing a gun to a peaceful rally and is currently on the run. Shane Lawler posted a short, two-minute video expressing his feeling about the challenge and stating that if he sees anyone desecrating the American flag, he and that person will have a big problem. Although Lawler swears during the video, he is able to get his point across in a calm yet forceful manner.
Lawler made it very certain that if anyone hates the U.S., they are free to leave at any time.
Mr. Lawler stated that “If anyone does not like what America has to offer, they can pack their bags and get out.” The fed-up veteran explains why it is so disgusting to destroy the American flag, especially when you look at the history of the flag and the country.
At some point, Lawler stated, his ancestors, your ancestors and most of our country’s ancestors fought for that flag.
