While law-abiding Americans are watching their communities descend into anarchy, far-left nonprofit groups are actively fanning the flames of chaos in Los Angeles. These organizations — many of which once received federal funding — are now openly aiding and abetting the violent anti-ICE riots that have turned LA’s streets into a nightly war zone.
Under the cover of so-called “community aid,” these nonprofits are handing out pre-packaged “F— ICE” riot kits — complete with goggles, face shields, gloves, masks, and even legal aid hotlines for those arrested while clashing with law enforcement. Chilling video footage shows truckloads of this gear being handed out to protesters as they prepare for nightly battles with local police, federal agents, and National Guard troops, who were deployed by President Trump in an effort to restore order.
At the heart of this operation is a nonprofit called **Operation Healthy Hearts**, an organization that presents itself as a homeless outreach group but has become a key player in arming rioters with gear designed to resist law enforcement. Alongside them is **LA Poverty Department**, another nonprofit that, until recently, was partially funded by taxpayer dollars before the Trump administration finally pulled the plug on federal funds being funneled into these radical activist groups.
Despite overwhelming evidence of their involvement in supplying riot gear and distributing pamphlets encouraging violence — including setting police cars on fire, torching precincts, and destroying banks and ATMs — these groups continue to deny responsibility for the nightly carnage. Instead, they dismiss the violence as nothing more than “a few knuckleheads doing stupid s–t,” as Pamela Miller, COO of LA Poverty Department, callously put it.
Miller even went so far as to defend their actions by claiming ICE is targeting vulnerable immigrant communities. “They’re targeting people who can’t protect themselves,” she said, attempting to justify the violent uprisings. What she failed to mention, however, is that ICE’s recent raids in Los Angeles specifically targeted illegal immigrants with criminal records, including violent offenders convicted of rape and even murder. These are not the so-called “innocent victims” the radical Left pretends they are protecting — these are dangerous criminals being lawfully removed from American communities.
In reality, these leftist groups are not interested in protecting vulnerable people. Their real agenda is clear: fuel anti-government sentiment, undermine federal immigration enforcement, and escalate violence to score political points for the progressive cause.
Another group involved in the chaos is **Mutual Aid/Social Therapy (MAST)**, which claims to use “mutual aid” principles to bring psychological resources to the community. But instead of providing therapy, MAST is handing out riot gear to help protesters resist tear gas, rubber bullets, and law enforcement efforts to keep the peace.
Meanwhile, **Mutual Aid Los Angeles Network (MALAN)**, another activist organization founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, has served as a central hub for organizing these nonprofits, distributing information on where to obtain riot kits, and using its social media platforms to amplify far-left causes — including anti-Israel rhetoric and violent street activism.
Operation Healthy Hearts, which just received tax-exempt nonprofit status last month, has also been using its platform to spew radical anti-police propaganda. As one of its volunteers, Alexandra Pierce, proudly told reporters while distributing riot kits in the middle of violent protests: “Police are attacking journalists and protesters. We need people to look out for each other.” She added, “I just feel very passionate about the politics of this and want to help protect people any way I can.”
The blatant lawlessness taking place in Los Angeles began after ICE conducted several raids last week, targeting illegal immigrants involved in serious criminal activity. Predictably, the far-left activists who oppose any form of immigration enforcement immediately mobilized, staging protests outside detention centers and physically attempting to block ICE operations.
What started as demonstrations quickly spiraled into violent riots, with streets filled with burning cars, looters ransacking stores, and police under siege. Instead of condemning the violence, these activist groups have doubled down, actively equipping rioters with the tools to resist law enforcement and perpetuate chaos.
Thanks to President Trump’s decisive leadership, thousands of National Guard troops and hundreds of Marines have been deployed to regain control. However, the complicity of these nonprofits — some of which once lived off federal dollars — reveals just how deeply the radical Left has embedded itself into the bureaucratic and nonprofit infrastructure of Democrat-run cities like Los Angeles.
The American people deserve to know how these so-called “charities” are using their tax-exempt status to aid criminals, destabilize communities, and undermine the rule of law. These are not humanitarian organizations — they are political operatives masquerading as nonprofits, using America’s generosity to fund their far-left revolution.
Once again, California’s leftist leadership has failed to protect its citizens, allowing violent anarchists and their nonprofit allies to overrun the streets while demonizing the very federal agents trying to bring law and order back to the city. But thanks to President Trump’s intervention, America is once again reminded that real leadership stands up for the safety and security of its people — no matter how loudly the radical Left screams.
