Professional football player, Carl Nassib, made his big coming out video to announce to the world that he is gay. He is among the first football stars to openly announce that he is gay. Nassib finally felt comfortable enough to come out and is hoping for a day where there is no need to “come out”.
The video found its way onto “The View” where Joy Behar spoke out on her feelings towards Nassib coming out. Her “joke” caused some awkward glances between the co-host and earned her unamused looks.
Behar’s attempt to fix the situation was seen as a lackluster apology by replying with “make-believe I didn’t say it”. This apology may or may not fix the situation due to “coming out” being such a controversial hot topic, but she is hoping for a turn in the situation.
