Tragically, Jansen Panettiere, the brother of actress Hayden Panettiere and an actor in his own right, has passed away at only 28 years of age.

On Monday, TMZ reported that sources close to Jansen’s family confirmed his passing at home in New York on Sunday. While the cause of death remains unknown, no criminal activity has been identified as contributory according to police reports.

Panettiere made a splash in the early 2000s, appearing on well-known projects such as “Even Stevens,” “Blue’s Clues,” “Robots,” and even lending his voice to “Ice Age: The Meltdown.”

Five years younger than her sibling Hayden, Jansen was the only other member of their family. Together they starred in two films – “Tiger Cruise” (2004) and “Racing Stripes” (2005) – showcasing the talent of both siblings.

In 2008, Jansen was nominated for a Young Artist Award in recognition of his noteworthy performance as Luke in “The Last Day of Summer.”

Not only did he lend his voice to 15 episodes of Nickelodeon’s “The X’s” from 2005-2006, but also impressed audiences with an episode of “The Walking Dead” in 2019.

In 2022, Jansen made a memorable appearance in the beloved holiday comedy-drama movie “Love and Love Not”.

His IMDb page lists four more upcoming projects that he is involved with.

Hayden, the lead actor in the forthcoming “Scream 6” film, is yet to respond publicly regarding Jansen’s rumored passing.
