Logan died in his sleep, and it came as a tremendous shock to everyone. He went to bed on a Friday night and didn’t wake up the next morning, tearing apart the Gagnier family’s strong nine-year-old who went to bed and never woke up. His relatives are in need of your prayers.

On a Sunday morning reserved for breakfast and family togetherness, it turned into an all-day catastrophe. Rebbeca and Garth Gagnier assumed their son, Logan, had been sleeping in late on Friday night since he was still asleep when they returned home from work around midnight. So Garth sent their oldest daughter to rouse him up. But instead of finding her brother asleep, she discovered that he had been taken away from this world to the next.

At this time, the family has no answers for why Logan died in his sleep and no explanations. Garth described it as aggravating and perplexing since their son was a healthy, typical kid. In the middle of waiting for answers that may never arrive, the family is requesting that their Christian friends pray for them. They require prayer to restore their fractured family. They require prayer for support, comfort, and faith in times of crisis.

Rebecca added that, while Logan’s existence was brief, he made a huge impact on her life “lived life to the fullest.” Garth said, “Our hearts are broken, but we know he was received into heaven by angels. If there is a football field in heaven, he is catching touchdown passes today, and taking a break eating Oreos and Doritos.”

While we can’t comprehend their pain, we may pray for them and ask God to continue to provide them solace. In a Facebook post, Garth wrote: “Please pray for his family who has to struggle with living with the hole in their home and their hearts. We love you Logan.”

We lift up the Gagnier family in prayer. Though their arms ache to hold him, we know Logan is in your strong embrace, God Father. We pray that you will continue to wrap your loving arms around this family in the days ahead as they are overwhelmed with grief and seek answers. Help them turn to you when they are overcome with sadness and looking for answers so that you may redeem their loss and show yourself in amazing ways as you heal and mend their hearts for You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Christ Jesus our Lord! In his name, I ask it be done. Amen.’
