It took nearly five years, but the FBI has finally taken action—albeit half-hearted—against the agents who knelt before Black Lives Matter protesters during the 2020 riots that tore the country apart. While not a full firing, the bureau has reassigned these agents, a move many conservatives view as a long-overdue step toward restoring integrity in America’s top law enforcement agency.

The agents made headlines in the summer of 2020 when they were photographed kneeling in solidarity with BLM demonstrators—right as cities across the nation were being looted, torched, and vandalized in the name of “racial justice.” The protests, sparked by the death of George Floyd—a man with a long criminal record—quickly morphed into violent riots, leaving a trail of destruction that cost the country billions in damages and countless lives and livelihoods.

At the time, the kneeling agents were portrayed by the corporate media as symbols of “compassion” and “unity.” But to everyday Americans—especially those watching their businesses go up in flames—their actions were nothing short of disgraceful.

Fast forward to April 30, 2025. Libs of TikTok broke the news to her millions of followers, writing: “HAHAHA The FBI has reportedly ‘reassigned’ the agents who kneeled with BLM protesters during the George Floyd Riots, per CNN.”

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson also chimed in, posting: “🚨BREAKING: FBI reassigns agents who were photographed kneeling during BLM George Floyd terrorism riots. I voted for this.” He jokingly added they’d hopefully been sent to “RFK Jr.’s fat camp,” a not-so-subtle jab at the physical condition of one of the pictured agents.

The reaction online was swift and savage. Thousands of users expressed their disgust that these agents weren’t fired outright. One user commented, “I hope to goodness that they all get assigned to an administrative position in an office! They can not be trusted to work out in the field on missions!!” Another piled on, “What a bunch of heroes. I hope they’re reassigned to the parking lot sweeping department.”

Several pointed out the absurd optics of overweight agents kneeling in submission to a mob. “None of them make me think, ‘Wow, I shouldn’t mess with the FBI.’ Looks like the only thing they enforce is snack time,” one user quipped.

Others rightfully questioned why these agents still have jobs while whistleblowers—who dare speak truth about corruption within the bureau—are punished, fired, or blacklisted. One especially biting comment read: “They still have full duty, full pay, full benefits, and full anonymity. Unlike whistleblowers.”

Despite the backlash, the FBI attempted to save face. A spokesperson claimed the agents weren’t making a political statement, but were simply untrained and overwhelmed on foot patrol. That explanation didn’t sit well with many.

Conservatives are right to be skeptical. The FBI has spent years prioritizing political theater over justice—targeting pro-life advocates and parents at school board meetings, while giving violent leftist agitators a free pass. This reassignment is a baby step in the right direction, but it’s not enough.

Americans deserve a law enforcement agency that stands for the rule of law, not one that kneels to the mob.
