In yet another jaw-dropping move from the far-left political machine in California, Democrats have introduced a bill that would reduce child sex trafficking for 16- and 17-year-olds to a mere misdemeanor offense. That’s right — trafficking minors, one of the most heinous crimes imaginable, could soon carry the same punishment as loitering or petty theft under this radical new proposal.
Conservatives across the nation didn’t hold back. The backlash was swift, fierce, and absolutely justified.
“This is beyond comprehension,” conservative commentator Benny Johnson posted on X. “I’m at a loss for words.” His post included a screenshot of the proposal, which quickly spread like wildfire on social media, igniting bipartisan outrage but especially fury from the right — the only political force in America still taking law and order seriously.
California has become a dystopian case study in what happens when the radical left gets its way. Once-great cities like San Francisco have been turned into lawless wastelands, plagued by rampant theft, open-air drug use, and violent crime — all thanks to years of soft-on-crime policies and so-called “criminal justice reform.”
Now, they’ve taken it a step further. Not only are California Democrats excusing criminals — they’re protecting child sex traffickers.
One furious commenter hit the nail on the head:
> “WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT!?!?!? Keep in mind they didn’t kill the bill, JUST the felony part… so the ONLY THING the DEMOCRATS took offense to was CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING BEING A FELONY. That’s… SO WEIRD.”
That’s not just weird — it’s sick.

Another user directed their rage at California Governor Gavin Newsom, who has become a poster boy for progressive decay:
> “@CAgovernor @GavinNewsom What is it about you Democrats that makes you compelled to defend to your last breath the most evil monsters humanity produces???”
The most infuriating aspect of the bill? It deliberately singles out 16- and 17-year-olds. If a trafficker exploits a 15-year-old, it’s a felony. But exploit a 17-year-old, and suddenly it’s a slap on the wrist? This isn’t justice — it’s legislative lunacy.
As one user sarcastically noted,
> “Apparently if you are 10th grade and lower, trafficking is not ok. But it’s ok to traffic 11th and 12th graders. Somehow 16 and 17 year olds are not minors when it comes to trafficking, in every other way they’re considered a minor.”
Thankfully, not every Democrat is on board. One voice of reason emerged: Democrat Maggy Kell, a longtime anti-trafficking advocate, who openly condemned her party’s disastrous bill.
“It’s a disgrace,” she said. “I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and I’m not going to quit now… I am going to bring this part of this bill back every year until I get the books to protect children.”
It shouldn’t take a national scandal to remind lawmakers that children deserve protection — not legal loopholes that shield predators.
This isn’t policy — it’s moral collapse. And if the people of California don’t wake up, it may soon be too late to undo the damage.
Enough is enough.
