Incest is a form of sexual incest that involves people who are considered too closely related to marry. This is also known as having sex with a minor, sibling, parent or grandchild. For some individuals, this may sound like something out of a horror film, but it happens in reality. In fact, one of the reasons why a father and son from West Virginia are facing jail time is because of this.

On October 21st, Nathaniel and Francis Keiling, both 38, were indicted on more than 216 counts of incest, sexual assault, and sexual abuse involving two minor girls from the family. Two months apart, father and son have been arrested for the crimes they committed.

Nathaniel, his father, and several women had been raping two young girls for almost every day for over a decade, according to the investigators and a news report from WOAY. After Keiling raped her three times in 24 hours, one of the victims finally had the bravery to come forward after she endured it for more than a decade. It took place in a church basement in May 2019.

In response to charges of possible abuse at his church, Father Paul Wharton of St. Francis de Sales Parish wrote a statement. He said: “The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston was deeply saddened to learn today of the alleged abuse of a minor by Francis Keiling. Although one of the instances of alleged abuse purportedly occurred on church property, at no time was Francis Keiling an employee or volunteer at either St. Francis de Sales Parish or School in Beckley.”

One of the people reported that Keiling had forced her to share a little hospital bed with him. The man would always follow her and get into bed with her whenever she wanted to sleep alone. According to sources, the two young girls were abused from late 2007 through September 2017.

Nathaniel was the first one to arrive at the Southern Regional Jail. He faces 20 counts of sexual assault, incest, and sexual assault by a parent or guardian in the first degree. On August 25, Francis Keiling was arrested on charges of child molestation.

He was accused of sexually assaulting 52 children between the ages of 1 and 15. He has been charged with a slew of sex crimes, including first-degree sexual assault, incest, and sexual abuse by a parent or guardian. The two men are now in jail, each having posted a $100,000 bond.

The authorities already had a history of abuse against Francis Keiling, according to news reports. In Florida, he was arrested for battery and marital violence in 2000. Nathaniel also had a case of battery and brutality from 2001, which was eventually revealed. Both father and son have criminal records, it was discovered.

According to his MySpace page, Francis Keiling has three grown children and three gr grandchildren. The authorities decided not to disclose the nature of the victims’ familial ties to the suspects to avoid compromising their identities.

At other times, we may be left wondering why anyone would engage in incest or child abuse. But we are confident that these two young victims, under the care of Nathaniel and Francis Keiling, will be able to overcome their ordeals.
