It’s sad to see stray dogs on the streets. Some of them were born strays, but the majority were abandoned by their owners because they wanted a puppy that didn’t shed. And, tragically, their owners decided to move away and leave them behind. This dog was abandoned by his family when they moved away from home.

Pumba is a seven-year-old dog who has been abandoned by his family for more than a year now. The dog would walk the streets and, on occasion, come to a halt near his former home, presumably hoping that his owners will return to reclaim him.

Nobody came back for Pumba after more than a year. There was no doubt that his owners abandoned him permanently. People in the area fed and gave him water, which was wonderful. Also, someone phoned for assistance.

When Hope for Paws learned about Pumba’s condition, they moved quickly to take action. JoAnn Wiltz and Lisa Arturo were dispatched to the location to investigate. A grass patch near the sidewalk was where they saw Pumba resting just a few seconds after their arrival.

Even after they had driven their automobile away from Pumba, he noticed them since they got out of the vehicle. He most likely became frightened, so he stood up and left his position. The two rescuers then utilized food to create an open cage to assist entice Pumba in. But Pumba was far too clever for the cage to work.

When JoAnn and Lisa returned to the identical meadow, they sat in their vehicle without complaint. He saw the meal while they were out of sight, but he was certain it was a trap to entice him into the cage. He attempted to seize the food, but he was hesitant to put his hind legs inside the cage while seizing the food inside.

Without a doubt, the authorities had no choice but to intervene. To catch the dog, they must go up close and personal. It took time for the dogs to trust his team. But eventually, he began to trust them, I’m sure realizing that they were not there to harm him but rather to assist him.

He ran to the end of the leash, but when he saw it, he began racing off. The searchers were forced to pursue him down the street. And after a while, the dog learned to trust them. He then took food from their hands without hesitation.

This was JoAnn and Lisa’s chance to put him on a leash. The dog did not resist them, so they were able to carry him to the back of their car and drive Pumba to the veterinary hospital for an examination before placing him in a foster home.

Pumba had a bad experience, but he immediately grew to love humans. He was certain to appreciate the people from the hospital’s care and affection. He was transferred to his foster home, where he also enjoyed it!

Pumba spent a year alone looking for food and water to survive on his own. Pumba is once again a happy dog as a result of the neighbors’ concern for his well-being. He is an ancient guy, but he will undoubtedly spend the rest of his life in a caring home.
