While the rest of America watched President Joe Biden give his State of the Union address, many people were distracted by Nancy Pelosi, who was sitting immediately behind him. Throughout the event, Pelosi sat behind Biden and had a clear shot on camera. Pelosi kept moving around during the speech, which provoked outrage among Democrats and even prompted some of her detractors to wonder whether she was “on drugs” or “drunk.”
During Biden’s speech, Nancy Pelosi rose from her seat and began tapping her knuckles together in what appeared to be a display of approval as the president talked about how soldiers were breathing poisonous air. Because Pelosi is 81 years old, people were shocked by her behavior. Twitter and other social media platforms were inundated with remarks from individuals all over the country attempting to figure out Pelosi’s strange conduct.

The incident happened while Biden said, “My administration is providing assistance with job training and housing, and now helping lower-income veterans get VA care debt-free. Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan faced many dangers. One was stationed at bases and breathing in toxic smoke from burn pits.”
Biden’s declaration was met with enthusiastic applause, and Pelosi rose from her seat and vigorously rubbed the knuckles of both hands together.
Others got more creative, claiming that Pelosi drank vodka before the address while others ridiculed her as if she had false teeth.
“I couldn’t tell if she was tweaking or just trying to keep her teeth in,” one person said.
Before, when then-President Donald Trump was accused of attempting to “bribe” Ukrainian President Zelensky into investigating Joe Biden, Pelosi’s teeth drew attention from the media. Pelosi’s buckteeth became a topic of conversation when Trump mentioned them and how they were distracting for him.

During Biden’s State of the Union, scores of people streamed live-tweeting Pelosi’s behavior.

“I have no adjectives to describe Nancy Pelosi here. Is she okay?” said another one.
Another person wrote, “So, I’m not the only one who was so distracted with her constant chewing movements!”
