The Biden administration’s reckless spending spree just hit another wall, as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) pulled the plug on millions of taxpayer dollars funneled into disturbing animal experiments pushing radical gender ideology. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has now lost funding for at least seven projects that subjected animals—including mice and rats—to transgender-type procedures, sparking massive reactions across social media.

The NIH quickly attempted damage control, releasing a carefully worded statement to assure the public it was still aligned with the Biden administration’s agenda.

The revelations are even more shocking given that the House Oversight Committee recently uncovered that a staggering **$241 million** in taxpayer funds have been used to study transgender surgeries and hormone treatments on animals. Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) revealed that **Dr. Anthony Fauci’s NIH authorized a jaw-dropping 95% of these controversial experiments.**

During a February 6 hearing titled **“Transgender Lab Rats and Poisoned Puppies: Oversight of Taxpayer-Funded Animal Cruelty,”** Justin Goodman of the White Coat Waste Project delivered scathing testimony about these NIH-funded projects.

“In a lot of these cases, they involve mice, rats, and monkeys who are being surgically mutilated and subjected to hormone therapies to mimic female-to-male or male-to-female gender transitions,” Goodman said.

He went on to describe gruesome experiments that examined the effects of gender transition on vaccines, genital size changes due to hormone therapy, and more.

This latest scandal comes after months of scrutiny over wasteful spending at the NIH. In a rare move, even the agency itself admitted that **$9 billion** of its **$35 billion** in research grants went to bureaucratic overhead rather than actual medical advancements.

To rein in the madness, DOGE has now implemented a **major funding cut**, reducing the maximum indirect cost rate institutions can charge the government. This alone will **save taxpayers $4 billion a year—effective immediately.**

At a time when hardworking Americans are struggling with skyrocketing inflation, this scandal proves once again that the Biden administration is more focused on pushing radical gender experiments—on both humans and animals—than serving the real needs of the American people.
