Socialist Democrat Kshama Sawant is now asking the police for help, after previously supporting movements like Black Lives Matter and Defund the Police. Recently, her home was vandalized with six bags of human feces being thrown onto her front lawn. Sawant believes this was done by someone who disagrees with her liberal politics, and she wants the Seattle Police Department to investigate.

Person was elected to the Seattle City Council. They wrote a letter to the police department asking why they failed to investigate the threatening emails against them as well as the vandalism of their property when someone tossed human excrement onto their lawn in protest. On October 13, 2022, a witness saw somebody throwing feces onto Sawant’s lawn. The guy was quite short; he was only five feet and four inches tall.

Socialist Sawant was called “the queen of s**t” in threatening emails, according to a report from local news station Fox 13.

Even though Sawant wants the police to help her, she was one of the liberal protesters who marched with a “Defund the Police” sign in 2020 after George Floyd – a black man – was killed by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Using her political power, Sawant advocated for Seattle to cut its police department budget by more than half.

Sawant believes that the bags of dung thrown onto her lawn are “politically motivated”, as they are the conservative attackers’ best way to show her that they disapprove of her politics.

“As a socialist City Councilmember who has participated in Black Lives Matter protests, I am being told that my case of six threatening incidents involving human excrement doesn’t merit even a serious investigation, let alone protection,” in her letter, the city council member wrote to police.

Seattle Police Department has been losing officers since 2020. According to King5 News, some 400 trained police officers have left their public service positions because they couldn’t handle the pressure. Now, the department has just 954 equipped police officers for the year 2022 which is significantly lower than it has been in recent years.

After Sawant filed a complaint about people throwing bags of feces onto her property, the police got involved.

“The department takes incidents involving public officials seriously, and investigators have canvassed for evidence, gathered information from witnesses, and reviewed everything collected thus far,” police statement read. “At this time, the department has not found any evidence this case would meet the city or state standards for hate crime laws, but SPD will follow available leads should new information arise.”

Sawant believes “right-wing media” is responsible for the feces prank.

“Needless to say, it is disturbing the right-wing media, including a police-run website named [Law Officer], portrays these attacks on my home as justified against an elected representative who has the temerity to criticize the police or attempt to hold them accountable. That is certainly a dangerous direction, especially if it is embraced by police and de facto supported by SPF leadership and the city’s Democratic Party establishment.”
