With the holidays right around the corner, people are starting to remember the true meaning of this special time of year.
It’s about connecting with loved ones and reaffirming the strength of the family, and that should be true regardless of religious affiliation. One father recently had an experience that will remind everyone who hears his story of the true meaning of family and togetherness.
His story begins back in 2012 when he was forced to separate from his wife and two small children. Dyan was the father and husband to a beautiful family in a war-torn country in Africa.
His wife was finally able to flee the country with their two children, but Dyan was forced to stay behind. When his wife left for America, she was pregnant with a child that Dyan wouldn’t be able to see for quite some time, if ever.
He understood the risks when he sent his family away, but he knew they would have a better chance at a happy life in America.
Dyan’s wife arrived in Texas and was quickly taken in by a church that wanted to help her with her family and the birth of her new child, a baby boy.
They also helped her reunite with her husband after dreadful amounts of paperwork.
Three years after Dyan watched his family leave, he got to be reunited with them. When he met his 3-year-old son, he instantly started weeping, and he collapsed to the ground with his son in his arms, praising God for reuniting them.
