Adric White entered a Family Dollar and drew his gun, demanding that the cashier give him all of the money. When White, 18, held employees hostage at gunpoint believing he knew what he was doing. He treated them like pawns, ordering them about and making demands, but things took a turn when a Good Samaritan with a valid legal concealed-carry license pulled out his gun and threw the youngster’s logic into chaos.

When the Good Samaritan arrived on the scene, he trained his weapon at White and told him to remain still. However, White would not have his moment of glory taken from him that easily. Instead of listening, he turned around to face the Good Samaritan. Because the man with a gun had instructed the robber not to move, White was shot five times, causing him to fall down and allowing others to capture him and take away his gun.

Adric White’s ego took the most damage during the incident when he was shot five times. He was taken to a hospital and subsequently charged with armed robbery. When his family found out what had occurred, they went crazy – they couldn’t believe how it was acceptable for the man with his concealed carry permit to shoot Adric White. They wanted to know why the cops hadn’t arrested him yet.

The family maintained that the man should not have shot White. He should have just walked away rather than get involved in the problem. While it was true that attempting to stop the robbery was risky for the Good Samaritan to do so, he got involved and then fired five shots when he believed himself threatened by White.

The Good Samaritan was afraid for his safety when he heard White’s gun cock, so he took the shots. Because White was flailing his weapon about and threatening the employees’ lives if they did not provide him with what he wanted from the business, it was deemed appropriate that the passerby to rise up and try to save those who were in danger. The facts presented by White and his family were dubious. They didn’t like the fact that White’s plans were thwarted, and he did not leave without some bullet wounds.

The five shots were fired at White’s location, but it hasn’t been specified where. He is in good condition and expected to fully recover. He should be thankful that he escaped with his life. While he did not escape without a few wounds, he did manage to get away with his life. That’s something to be grateful for.

The Good Samaritan has asked us not to reveal his identity. We respect that request and have not published his name. However, he wanted it to be clear that this is the first time he has had to utilize his concealed carry in such a manner, and that he regrets it had to come down to bullets.
