It was a bad day for Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) — and a great one for truth. During a Senate hearing on political violence, the Democrat lawmaker completely lost his composure after Daily Wire host Michael Knowles exposed his hypocrisy on the very issue he claimed to care about.
The topic was deadly serious — especially in the wake of the shocking assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk — but Booker’s behavior turned it into a spectacle. When Knowles calmly and factually confronted him with his own record of supporting a Democrat who publicly called for violence against Republicans, Booker had no defense. Instead, he did what Democrats often do when caught — he stormed out of the room in a full-blown tantrum.
Knowles began his remarks on a conciliatory note, acknowledging one of Booker’s earlier comments. “You know, I think Senator Booker made a good point just a moment ago when he said, we have to self-examine. We have to be introspective,” he said. But then came the truth bomb.
Knowles reminded the Senate that Booker had proudly endorsed Jay Jones, a Democratic candidate for Virginia attorney general, despite Jones’ history of violent rhetoric. Quoting Booker’s endorsement, Knowles read: “‘Today Jay Jones has the vision, commitment and integrity to keep families safe and make sure every Virginian gets a fair shake in the justice system. I’ll be working every day to ensure Jay wins this race.’ That’s the endorsement of Senator Booker.”
But the man Booker endorsed, Knowles pointed out, was anything but safe for families. “This is a man who has called for a Republican to be murdered, for his children to be murdered, for the children to die in their mother’s arms in order to persuade the Republican to change his policy views,” Knowles said. “And a man who says he would urinate on the graves of multiple Republicans.”
The room grew tense. Booker, visibly rattled, abruptly stood up and stormed out — apparently unwilling to face the reality that his own actions contradicted everything he was saying about “political civility.”
Unfazed, Knowles continued. “So I suppose I would invite—perhaps I should have looked, because Senator Booker has left the room. And I think I can guess why,” he said, pausing briefly before adding the knockout line: “Senator Booker should practice what he preaches.”
The conservative commentator didn’t stop there. He explained that it’s unacceptable for anyone in authority — especially those in law enforcement — to harbor or tolerate violent hatred toward half the country. “You cannot have a professor who wants to teach students and desires to kill half of them,” Knowles said. “You certainly cannot have law enforcement officers who would engage in this kind of violent rhetoric against half of their constituents.”
He wrapped up his remarks with a devastating truth: “So long as anyone stands by an endorsement such as that, their words are meaningless. They are shedding crocodile tears on the topic of political violence.”
Knowles’ testimony perfectly captured what many Americans have long felt — that the Left’s “unity” talk is nothing but empty posturing. Democrats like Booker posture as defenders of democracy while backing people who fantasize about violence against conservatives.
The senator’s dramatic exit wasn’t just an emotional outburst — it was a confession. When confronted with his own hypocrisy, Cory Booker ran from accountability. And Michael Knowles did what the mainstream media refuses to do: he told the truth, calmly, directly, and unapologetically.
