In a story that blends romance with the mysterious, a married couple on a scenic Colorado train ride stumbled upon what they believe to be the elusive Bigfoot. Shannon Parker and her husband, Stetson, were celebrating their anniversary, basking in the natural wonders of Colorado, when an unexpected guest made an appearance.

On a crisp October day, as they embarked on the Narrow Gauge train ride from Durango to Silverton, little did they know they were about to embark on a journey far beyond their wildest dreams. Shannon recounted their extraordinary adventure in a heartfelt Facebook post: “It’s story time y’all! On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Stetson Tyler and I took the Narrow Gauge train ride from Durango to Silverton.”

The couple was initially on the lookout for elk as they marveled at the majestic mountain scenery. However, their peaceful ride took a thrilling turn when Stetson spotted something peculiar on a distant hillside. “As we passed by the mountains, Stetson sees something moving and then says, ‘I think it’s Bigfoot.'”

With adrenaline pumping, a fellow passenger named Brandon seated next to Stetson quickly pulled out his phone and started recording. Shannon, equally determined, tried to capture the enigmatic creature on her camera. Amidst the hundreds of passengers on the train, only a select few caught sight of the elusive being.

“Brandon, the guy sitting next to Stetson on the train, grabs his phone and starts recording. Meanwhile, I am trying to get a photo on my camera. Y’all, out of the hundreds of people on the train, three or four of us actually saw, as Stetson says in the video, the ever-elusive creature, Bigfoot! I don’t know about y’all, but We Believe!!”

The couple estimates the creature to have stood between six to seven feet tall. Since sharing their footage online, their video of the Bigfoot sighting has gone viral, capturing the attention of people nationwide.

The opening frame of the video depicts the towering creature in a stance reminiscent of the famous Bigfoot pose captured in the legendary Patterson-Gimlin film of 1967. This iconic encounter in Northern California first introduced Sasquatch to the public consciousness.

As the train’s video footage unfolds, the creature takes several colossal strides before blending seamlessly into the shrubbery and bushes. Its uncanny ability to camouflage itself within its surroundings is truly remarkable, leaving the spectators awestruck.

“We were searching for elk in the mountains when my husband spotted something moving and couldn’t quite explain it. So he exclaimed, ‘Bigfoot!'” Shannon shared with the New York Post. “It was at least six or seven feet tall, and it blended so perfectly with the sagebrush in the mountains that it was almost invisible when crouching down. If you had asked us before our trip, we might have said that Bigfoot could be real, but now we’re convinced.”

According to the Bigfoot Research Organization, these elusive creatures are primarily spotted in forested regions with abundant protein sources, particularly deer. Despite having the resources to support larger populations, Bigfoot consistently maintains low numbers in these areas, avoiding prolonged interactions with human communities and livestock. The organization hopes that people will continue to report their brief sightings of these enigmatic beings.

In an unexpected twist of fate, a couple’s romantic getaway turned into an adventure that brought them face to face with one of the world’s most enduring mysteries. As the video continues to captivate audiences and ignite debates, the legend of Bigfoot lives on, leaving us to wonder what other mysteries nature has hidden within its depths.
